I am what some may term a "Trendy Nanna" - some people refer to me as "Nifty Nanna" - anyway I am a Nanna to many - both blood and "adopted" - I am now retired and live in my own home which is far to big for me alone so I have opened it up for share accommodation - mostly for students from all over the world - I have many "new children" and have been lucky enough to visit some of them in their homelands and even to attend a couple of their weddings - I have eight of my own children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren - both blood and adopted and they are scattered world wide - I am now on nocturnal dialysis and have been trained so that I can carry out the procedure myself at home which I do 5 nights a week. I am an habitual magpie which seriously needs attending to and I absolutely love gardening. I am a born again Christian and would like my guests to attend church with me on Sunday morning.

I live in Geelong, Victoria which is the gateway to the Great Ocean Road-htt... more inside

Our farm is situated in the Yarra Valley one of the most popular tourist destinations in Victoria. Surrounded by natural bushland, its the perfect place to stay whilst being close to all the sights and places the area is famous for. Wineries, hiking, the arts & the Healesville Santuary are just some of the attractions you will find here.

This place was built by Justus Jorgensen, founder of Montsalvat, one of Australias oldest arts colony. This is where most of the work exchange will take place- helping to restore and recreate this historical gallery space, and helping to maintain the grounds. Duties can include, gardening, general maintenance, helping prepare food, general cleaning and would be great if you are a practical/handy person. In exchange for four hours work per day per person we can offer accommodation in a beautiful caravan (pictures included) and shared bathroom/kitchen facilities plus basic food needs. E.g. eggs, bread, milk, veggies, meat. Having your own car woul... more inside

ABOUT US: We are a friendly family based in Doreen, a semi rural area on the northeast fringe of Melbourne. We are living in the busy and pleasant housing estate ‘Laurimar’ a little township with shops, cafes, walkable connections, parks, and easy public transport to Melbourne city and suburbs whilst developing our nearby farm where we will eventually be building our off grid ‘architectural-eco’ house. Our farm is just a few kilometres from the urban fringe but a world apart with an incredibly peaceful ambience and all sorts of Australian nature including kangaroos, wombats and wedge tailed eagles. The farm is in an early stage of development with a number of different programs under construction or planned including a native bush foods orchard, chestnut silvopasture, herb gardens, laying poultry, and cattle.

We are a friendly family with three kids, a 5 year old who just started school next year, a year old baby, and a seventeen year old at art school. We also have a small frien... more inside

We are a busy working family living on a 15 acre property in Gruyere, which is an hour from Melbourne CBD in the heart of the popular Yarra Valley region. We have a two and a three year old, as well as our two teenagers living with us so we would prefer people who are familiar with (and like) small children as they are very friendly! Lloyd works long hours and is setting up a new business which takes up most of his time on the weekends, and Claire works part time as a teacher as well as having her own private tutoring business. We are looking for individuals or couples who are happy to do outdoor work, such as slashing, mowing, weeding and stacking firewood. In addition we would like a bit of housework done, such as cleaning the bathrooms and vacuuming. Other odd jobs may vary as we need some painting finished and outdoor building projects completed. We are negotiable with hours worked and weekends off. You will have your own large bedroom with a queen size bed (and a single mattres... more inside

Hi, my name Anthony. My house is in Diamond Creek, in Melbourne north. The house is a very short stroll to lots of shops, cafes and metropolitan train and buses. 30 mins drive from airport. 40 min drive to city CBD.
I have a 9yo boy who's here some of the time and he is very friendly and cute.
Very close to nature, bush walks, Yarra river, wineries, birds and native animals. Diamond creek is an old mining and fruit growing area with a long history. A great place to explore the north of Melbourne from.

Hi,
I'm Julie and I live in a modern 3 bedroom home in an outer south eastern suburb of Melbourne called Berwick.
The house has a separate loungeroom and dining and kitchen area, with a small decked area out the back and a small garden.

I am looking for someone who would be willing to do some lawn mowing and whipper snipping, gardening and small jobs around the house, like painting the pergola, oiling the back deck, assisting with meal preparation and general clean up as required. A couple is ideal.
I also run a charity and if there is no jobs at home, I will ask you to come along and assist with some jobs through the charity. At the moment this includes odd handyman jobs at the office, like painting, sorting, packing boxes of chocolates etc.
I have 2 spare rooms, both with double beds and a bathroom to use. Wifi available. Breakfast and lunch will be self serve, and a shared evening meal, which you can help prepare if you like. I would love to try something that you w... more inside

Hi to all of you wonderful Helpx friends our names are Brian and Judy and we live on 10 acres on the outskirts of beautiful, historical Bendigo Victoria.
We have 2 dogs, a cat and 6 different breeds of heritage poultry,
I am trying to develop a nursery at home but sell my plants at some markets as well as home.
We also sell the chooks from home and at poultry auctions through the year.
We have had 25 different Wwoofers over 4 years and are still in contact with most of them through Facebook and often recall the wonderful nights around our table with the exchange of cultures, customs, humour and information. I personally have found this time to be the most precious memory of all, and although the help we receive is very valued the interaction with new friends is by far the stand out part of all stays.
As well as the above, we also do mosaics and try to encourage our woofers to create a mosaic that will stay with us so we can feel their presence every day.
We have a recently ren... more inside
