Shorter homestays are again available until 6 September. We usually follow the HelpX pattern of around 4 hours of work daily in return for accommodation and food.

We do prefer singles, but will consider a twosome. Ability to take on responsibility and good housekeeping skills are essential. Our gardening is pretty simple but there is lots of it!

We generally run out of work in a week. We will prefer short stays and do prefer to have at least a phone interview before welcoming guests. During that week there is time to look around and check out the farm work situation around Atherton
(atherton is central to farming area with multiple backpacker hostels on offer)

We are located around the corner from Atherton town but nearly surrounded by bush.
Opportunity to check out the farm worker situation on the Atherton Tablelands. Before committing to a hostel stay, explore what the farm work prospects are.

Rustic eco- retreat in very quiet, peaceful, rainforest location, has mango, avocado, pecan trees.
The property is 20 minutes drive from town, and has limited cell-phone and internet reception (no wifi) so is ideal for a break from technology.
I'm working to create a sacred garden honoring the divine feminine here, but the retreat has been closed awhile so the garden has been let go and is more feral than garden!
I need help, initially, with taming the wild a bit and with cleaning up the buildings.
I'm looking for respectful, consciously and environmentally aware, nature loving, spiritually oriented people who'd like to do some kirtan chanting and perhaps participate in some collaborative arts projects to add beauty to the retreat. I could offer some meditation instruction if desired.

Hi There. We are a husband and wife (36) with a super fun 11 year old named cini. We are really nice and easy going people. We live on 10acres and have 2 great dogs, chickens and ducks and goats and cows. Our business is an organic fruit and veg delivery service. We only eat organic at home and have tons of food. Cini is very self sufficient and spends hours on our property with his best friends, the dogs, playing in the forest and the water. The house is very tidy and clean, we do not have crap everywhere haha. We are looking for someone who loves life, looking after animals, movies, planting seedlings and gardening, board games, good chats, cups of tea and cake! Would love some help with our garden, animals, cleaning and cooking & whatever else you are good at. You would have your own room and bathroom. We are 20mins from the beaches and shopping etc. Look forward to meeting you soon!

Hi! We have recently purchased a beautiful little cattle station and retreat space in the central west, right on the banks of the infamous Barcoo River. We would love to have volunteers come and explore our place, to share their stories, create visions and leave their imprint on the place.

We are looking for people who would like to spend some serious time outdoors, helping with work projects in the mornings and then enjoying what our station has to offer in the afternoons (and sometimes the other way around too). We have several horses for experienced riders only, and we are happy for you to take them out every day if you like, or, if you want to go fishing, the river has a good population of yellow-belly and red claw that are both great for dinner. Bring fishing gear and something to swim in. In your spare time, there are a lot of walking tracks through the bush with local wildlife and plants to observe. We also have many sites with loaded memorabilia from the old time Cobb ... more inside

We are a young family looking for an extra pair of hands as we journey towards self-sufficiency on our small farm.
With a love of heritage breeds we keep a small herd of Hereford Cattle, Light Sussex chickens and pasture-fed Saddleback pigs. We have adopted a true seasonal approach to eating and currently source 80% of our family's food from our productive vegie garden and animals.
Our home has been built from reclaimed building materials and is powered 100% by Solar Power.
We would love the chance to share our off-grid way of life with an enthusiastic person or couple!
Work required would be general farm duties, gardening, feeding animals and some building work and would be approx 4 hours per day in exchange for meals and accommodation (either a bedroom in the family home or a self-contained camper trailer you could set-up wherever you like on the property). No baby-sitting or housework required...
