Hi!
Welcome to Australia! We hope you have a great time in this big country!

We live in country Victoria approximately one hours drive from Melbourne. Our small country town Buninyong is close to the Old Gold Rush city of Ballarat. We are also close to The Grampians and The Great Ocean Road. - day trip distance.
Buninyong is a thriving community with cafes, supermarket, hotel, school, medical and wholistic health centres.
Buninyong also hosts an international cycling race every January. Buninyong township sits on the side of Mt Buninyong an extinct volcano. There are a number of walking and cycling track to enjoy. A favourite past time for Buninyong locals is mountain bike riding.

We are a family of 5.
The eldest child is learning French at High school and would love some French speaking Helpx travellers to come and stay.

We are an active family who also love to eat and share great food! We are involved in a local food group and enjoy growing our own vegetables.

Hello and "Welcome" to my world.

I am looking for someone to help with general maintenance/repairs around the house/property and would prefer someone with experience in these areas.

I livein an area of outstanding natural beauty on a 2 acre property near Mirboo North (Allambee South) in South Gippsland. It has majestic views of the rolling Strzelecki Ranges, see attached photos, and is situated in the middle of cattle farming country. It would be a haven for someone who would appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of the area. I originally came from the Cotswolds (in England) and those acquainted with the beauty of that area would understand why Icame here. (Please see attached photos)

The house is a smallish brick house (2 bedrooms) and is perfectly sound and comfortable. A wood heater warms the whole house, there are fans in both bedrooms and a split system inverter heater/cooler in the lounge. Internet and wifiare available to you free of charge.

I have recently purchased a 10 acre block on which I am converting an old building into a house and developing an organic farm using permaculture principles. I need help with all sorts of demolition and construction projects. Including work on the house, fencing, setting up the vegie garden and planting trees. There is a lot of old junk on the block so we often find some interesting treasures.
I have a horse, 2 dogs, 2 cats, some sheep, cows and alpacas and lots of chickens.

I work mornings as a farm manager at a local school so we will only be working afternoons. You will have your nights and mornings free. :)
I spend Saturday morning in Yackandandah drinking coffee and doing the quiz with the locals.
The property is close to the historic town of Yackandandah, renowned for its music and alternative thinkers, located in between Melbourne and Sydney about 1.5 hours to the snow resort of Falls Creek. With fantastic bush walking, mountain bike riding and trail riding near by. ... more inside
