Hi,
Vacancy after 14th November - please contact us.

We are on 40 beautiful acres of land with native animals and a creek. We are 1.5 hours drive west of Melbourne, Victoria. Or a train ride and coach to Daylesford and we can pick you up.
We are also close to public transport to/from Melbourne Tullamarine INT airport by Airport Bus to Woodend.

Please help us with preparing tipi poles, sewing tipis if you are a strong experienced sewer, maybe some strawbale wall repair, rendering, gardening and planting seeds in the new little greenhouse; if you are into wood - helping in the factory with timber bending. Some new planting in our organic veggie patch and we have a Rocket Mass Heater which works in your cabin accommodation.

Also if you are a plumber we need you for some gutter installation, a carpenter to help Don and an electrician or just eco-interested we'd love to share our land and some projects with you.

Our lovely property is 1 1/2 hours from Melbourne just off the Maroondah Highway.

We love meeting new Helpers and have hosted many over the past 5 1/2 years. We appreciate hard working, motivated, independent Helpers who can work without a lot of supervision.
Helpers who have experience with horses are particularly needed.

Our main tasks at this time of year are collecting firewood, gardening, housework, cooking (if you like to cook), and regular farm chores such as feeding our horses, chooks and dogs.

The work is varied each day. We have lots of tea/coffee breaks and depending on the projects, some days are longer, some are shorter. On average approx 6 hours a day.

All Helpers can have a riding lesson before they leave if they want - weather depending.

Accommodation is in the main house and helpers share all meals.
Wireless internet is available.

Helpers are welcome to come on shopping trips to Marysville or Alexandra with the family and sightseeing around... more inside

We Cannot sign working visas.

We will be needing some help with the garden for one week or so during October and we hope that you will join us.

There is also some cleaning, painting, and garden landscaping works to do.

We will be working on a few different projects around the house and in the food gardens, and often you can choose the work that you would like best.

There are some peaceful walks in the forest where you will regularly see wallabies, kangaroos, possums, and native birds.

This is a rural location with no shops within walking distance. But we do go into town fairly regularly, so you will be able to have a good look around the town if you want.

We are located in Central Victoria, near Bendigo, its about an hour from Melbourne by train, and we can pick you up and drop you at the local railway station.

We live here. Our house is mud brick, we built it ourselves using lots or recycled material. We live on solar power only (not connected to the elect... more inside

We have a very small property- 3/4 acre that we are developing to be self sustainable. We are on the edge of Melbourne and easily accessible to the beautiful Mornington peninsula and a train ride from the city. We have recently built an olive /citrus grove, a veggie patch, small vineyard and planted fruit trees. We have an area that needs developing which is a small gully. As our project is ongoing we would be really grateful for help in maintaining and improving our garden. I love to cook and we produce our own kefir and Kombucha. I am also needing help to complete a chook pen so if you have any building skills even better!
