I have done loads of traveling myself and would love to have interesting people on adventures swing through my beautiful property and get stuck into some projects. I have two children age 3 and 7. My place is 8 acres with beautiful rustic dwellingse tucked in the bush on the Blackall Range. Close to the Great Walk, the Obi Obi gorge, minutes from secluded waterfalls and swimming holes, and a short drive to surf beaches. The property is a mix of fruit trees, beautiful garden and rainforest. You can walk from the property, down through the Mapleton Falls National Park, to the Obi Obi gorge.
I would enjoy sharing local knowledge of the best local swimming holes and creeks (we go for swims all the time!!)I also drive to Noosa to surf once a week, and would welcome anyone keen to join me.

Accomodation:
I have a private 3 x 6 meter unlined dwelling separate from the house.(I welcome anyone who would be into making it more awesome - e.g. lining it, making a compost loo, fire bath or w... more inside

We are hobby farmers (in our fifties) on a timbered block of land with a creek running through. We have a lot of animals: a few cattle, horses, pigs, ducks, chickens, dogs and cats and sometimes sheep. We also have a garden with fruit trees and native shrubs. It is a quiet place with lots of native birds, but we are only 5 minutes off the Bruce Highway and only 15 minutes from Rockhampton.

The house is new, clean and comfortable, and the surroundings pleasant.

There is always a variety of jobs here: feeding animals, watering the fruit trees, maybe stacking timber/branches out in the paddock.

We are easy to find if you come by car, and we can pick you up from Rockhampton if you come by bus, train or plane.

It may be a couple of days before we can respond to an email, but we can respond earlier to text messages.

**NOT NEEDING NEED HELP RIGHT NOW**

We are a Spanish/Australian couple living in Cairns. We run an internet based travel business from home and are generally very busy.

Throughout the year, we accept helpers every now and then to help around the house and garden. We offer free accommodation, meals and snacks in exchange for 4 hours work each day. Helpers have full use of our home, laundry, swimming pool and wi-fi, and are part of the family while they are with us. We can normally offer them their own room.

But when we have a big project on, we need more helpers and we have to squash in a little bit. Sleeping may be on a mattress in our son's toy room, for example. It is a fun atmosphere when we have lots of helpers. The most we have ever had was seven at one time - fun, hardworking people from all around the world - France, Italy, Morocco, Germany, Hong Kong - a lot of laughs!

Guests may have the option to work 8 hours EVERY SECOND DAY, so you have every other day fre... more inside

Welcome to Mission Beach a quiet tranquil place where the rainforest meets the reef.

Our property is a couple hundred meters (short walk) from a quiet beautiful beach called Wongaling Beach. 1.5km to Woolworths (food shop). 1km from water taxi which can take you to Dunk Island (10 min boat ride) or the great barrier reef (40 min boat ride on a calm day).

Our block of land is 3500m2. Our goal is to become a zero waste, sustainable, organic producing property, using permaculture design concepts and local tropical forest foods.

Numerous native animals visit or roam by our property including wallabys, goannas, cassawarys, frogs, lizards, kookaburras, butterflies, and many more. We often just watch them from our back veranda or in front yard as show in photo with a dragonfruit in the foreground.

We are only in the very early stages of our permaculture research and concept design, still learning ourselves but are so excited about what this land could become for us and the ... more inside

Hi! We manage a beautiful gay friendly cattle station and retreat space in the central west, purchased about 2 years ago now, right on the banks of the infamous Barcoo River. We would love to have volunteers come and explore our place, to share their stories, create visions and leave their imprint on the place.

We are looking for people who would like to spend some serious time outdoors, helping with work projects in the mornings and then enjoying what our station has to offer in the afternoons (and sometimes the other way around too). We have several horses for experienced riders only, and we are happy for you to take them out every day if you like, or, if you want to go fishing, the river has a good population of yellow-belly and red claw that are both great for dinner. Bring fishing gear and something to swim in. In your spare time, there are a lot of walking tracks through the bush with local wildlife and plants to observe. We also have many sites with loaded memorabilia... more inside

Our home is set on the north side of the beautiful Mount Coolum. We have ocean glimpses from the house on a 1/4 acre block which is currently in need of attention so garden clean up help is wanted, as well as odd jobs about the house. We also have a busy jewellery studio where sometimes we love some help too, you may even learn some basic silver smithing. We also have a holiday cottage where we need help with the cleaning and laundry to make it ready for a constant stream of guests and maintain the 6 acre block so staying with us will be anything but boring!
We sometimes have a dog, (when our daughter's dog is here, we just lost our own best mate Ardi :'( ) so you must love dogs.
We are a healthy walking distance to the beach (not patrolled) and the beautiful Mount Coolum to climb which is very popular with locals and visitors.
Coolum Beach is just down the road, if you like to walk it's a beautiful 6km walk to town, though there is a bus every half hour which goes through Coolum... more inside

Well-established Permaculture property with orchard, garden and animal systems located ten minutes from Noosa and seven minutes from (famous) Eumundi Markets. (But public transport VERY poor in this area - see note at the end)

Dave is a past Permaculture Teacher and willing to offer training to anyone keen to increase their knowledge of Permaculture systems. We are a laid-back but hard working couple who enjoy the "good life" in all its simplicity. We practice fermenting - beer, sauerkraut, kefir and make our own cheeses.
We are looking for a single person or happy couple preferably with practical skills to assist with gardening, collecting animal fodder, maybe some lifting/digging as required for 2-4 hrs/day and Permaculture trainees would get particular benefit.

We can offer accommodation (or van parking site), teaching and two meals/day (what we normally eat) plus access to caravan gas burner & fridge space for up to 25 hours work a week. Successful applicant(s) will beg... more inside
