GDay. I (Ishram) live on a peaceful 8 hectare rural property (not a farm) on the outskirts of Creswick (1.5 hrs N.West of Melbourne). Creswick is a great little town with the best french patisserie in Victoria. It has public transport links to Melbourne, Ballarat and Daylesford, some lovely walks and a great lake to swim in.

I thoroughly enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and nationalities. I am well travelled and since retiring a few years ago am actively involved in a community education project in Brazil, where I spend several weeks each year.
My interests include mayan astrology, healing, sustainablility and environmental issues.
I have three grown up daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Im currently looking for helpers from late January 2017 onwards. Ideally a couple to help with chopping wood, land clearance, gardening/weeding, house maintenance and general tidying up of the property. DIY and basic carpentry skills would be great. Stays between 5 and 10 days1-2 we... more inside

Hello, I am currently seeking people to stay for a week or two to tidy up our place a bit. Work includes digging garden beds, weeding, cutting grass, spreading mulch, spring cleaning the house and cooking meals if you're able as it's always appreciated. I would love your help in maintaining our organic garden. I am interested in permaculture and plant the garden accordingly.

My family consists of me and my six year old daughter (Elouise), we also have Pixel the cat and two chickens!

We live in Bruthen which lies between the foothills of the great dividing range. Bruthen is somewhat of a gateway to forests, national parks and beaches to the east, lakes systems to the south and mountains (including snow-fields) to the north. It is possible to do a day-trip to go skiing as Hotham is less than 2 hours drive away. Bruthen is situated alongside an old railway line which now functions as a walking track, it's also great to ride on if you're into biking. Bruthen is also a bit a rura... more inside

Hello!

We have a small farm/horse stud in the Yarra Valley. The property was destroyed by bushfires in 2009 and has mostly been rebuilt, but much of the landscaping still needs work.

We have five Riding Ponies (horses).

WORK:

We would LOVE an experienced horseperson to help with them as several are young and need handling/breaking.

There is no riding available currently (although we may be able to take experienced riders out with friends).

You do not need horse experience to stay with us. The horses are friendly, but you won't work with them unless you are experienced.

General farm/garden laboring for 3-5 hours a day (5 days) is expected, but very flexible. Work includes chopping firewood, weeding, clearing scrub, laying gravel on the driveway, gardening etc., or working with the horses if you have the experience.

ACCOMMODATION:

Accommodation is in the main house. Robyn lives alone and sometimes her adult daughters come down from the city on ... more inside

Hello,
we live in a small village in the Central Victorian Goldfields, 1.5hr from Melbourne easy drive or by train. Closest town Castlemaine (10mins by car).

We have a small 2 acre property, a recycled house, a baby, a small dog and a messy garden!

We especially appreciate building or handy person skills, and gardeners. Welders and carpenters say hello! You must be happy to work independently.

A car is desirable, so you can explore the area - which is full of great walks, food, wine, coffee, markets and art. We live in a community of artisan growers, artists, makers and pioneers.

We have a large house built from recycled materials set in a five acre garden that includes a hedge maze, orchards, vegetable patch and pockets of native habitat. Located just 10 mins from Daylesford, our place is within easy access to great visitor attractions such as lakes, walking tracks, cafes, bars, galleries and boutique shops.

We are looking for 1 or 2 people to volunteer 2-3 hours per day to help us with gardening and installation of art and recycled pieces from now until Christmas.

You will have your own bedroom, use of a large commercial kitchen and own bathroom. There is plenty of living areas so that you can have your own space or share with us (2 adults and a teenager). It is envisaged that we would share some meals and that you will cook some of your own. We are in and out of town (Daylesford) so there is plenty of opportunity for lifts in and out.

*** WELCOME TO MEWBURN PARK ***
Embraced by the age-old trees and lush ponds, Mewburn Park is one of the oldest heritage homesteads in Victoria. It was built in 1854.

We are: Julia and Adam with a 2 year old toddler boy and another one on the way. We are planning to make Mewburn Park again an event/function centre and one day also a B&B. We recently moved back from Europe (Julia is German) and still settling up. Therefore we need some support, as well as some cultural exchange with travellers from all over the world (as we love to travel).

We live in the big comfortable homestead on a farm, where you'll have privacy and space, but you are welcome to join us in the living room whenever you like. Youll stay in a secluded bedroom in the "old wing" which has 2 rooms, one with single bed, the other with a double bed and no door in between (so ideal for 2 people who know each other or a couple or a single person). You will have your own big bathroom with shower and toilet.
