I am what some may term a "Trendy Nanna" - some people refer to me as "Nifty Nanna" - anyway I am a Nanna to many - both blood and "adopted" - I am now retired and live in my own home which is far to big for me alone so I have opened it up for share accommodation - mostly for students from all over the world - I have many "new children" and have been lucky enough to visit some of them in their homelands and even to attend a couple of their weddings - I have eight of my own children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren - both blood and adopted and they are scattered world wide - I am now on nocturnal dialysis and have been trained so that I can carry out the procedure myself at home which I do 5 nights a week. I am an habitual magpie which seriously needs attending to and I absolutely love gardening. I am a born again Christian and would like my guests to attend church with me on Sunday morning.

I live in Geelong, Victoria which is the gateway to the Great Ocean Road-htt... more inside

ABOUT US: We are a friendly family based in Doreen, a semi rural area on the northeast fringe of Melbourne. We are living in the busy and pleasant housing estate ‘Laurimar’ a little township with shops, cafes, walkable connections, parks, and easy public transport to Melbourne city and suburbs whilst developing our nearby farm where we will eventually be building our off grid ‘architectural-eco’ house. Our farm is just a few kilometres from the urban fringe but a world apart with an incredibly peaceful ambience and all sorts of Australian nature including kangaroos, wombats and wedge tailed eagles. The farm is in an early stage of development with a number of different programs under construction or planned including a native bush foods orchard, chestnut silvopasture, herb gardens, laying poultry, and cattle.

We are a friendly family with three kids, a 5 year old who just started school next year, a year old baby, and a seventeen year old at art school. We also have a small frien... more inside

We are a busy working family living on a 15 acre property in Gruyere, which is an hour from Melbourne CBD in the heart of the popular Yarra Valley region. We have a two and a three year old, as well as our two teenagers living with us so we would prefer people who are familiar with (and like) small children as they are very friendly! Lloyd works long hours and is setting up a new business which takes up most of his time on the weekends, and Claire works part time as a teacher as well as having her own private tutoring business. We are looking for individuals or couples who are happy to do outdoor work, such as slashing, mowing, weeding and stacking firewood. In addition we would like a bit of housework done, such as cleaning the bathrooms and vacuuming. Other odd jobs may vary as we need some painting finished and outdoor building projects completed. We are negotiable with hours worked and weekends off. You will have your own large bedroom with a queen size bed (and a single mattres... more inside

Hi, my name Anthony. My house is in Diamond Creek, in Melbourne north. The house is a very short stroll to lots of shops, cafes and metropolitan train and buses. 30 mins drive from airport. 40 min drive to city CBD.
I have a 9yo boy who's here some of the time and he is very friendly and cute.
Very close to nature, bush walks, Yarra river, wineries, birds and native animals. Diamond creek is an old mining and fruit growing area with a long history. A great place to explore the north of Melbourne from.

Hi there! I'm a young farmer near Daylesford about 1.5 hours North West of Melbourne and I've been farming here for just over 3 years now. I have two exceptionally charming dogs (Bryn and Tasha), alpacas, bees, two yearling cows, ducks, and a flock of free-ranging chickens. We currently do two farmers' markets a week selling baked goods and pulled pork rolls both made from ours and our neighbours' produce. The current project is building a food trailer which will serve food made with produce grown on or near the farm and if that works out we hope to build an on-farm restaurant based on the same idea! Work on the farm is varied but mainly consists of feeding the chickens, ducks and calves, baking, helping at markets, varied farm projects, weeding, harvesting vegetables, small scale construction and cooking woodfired pizza! Also if you have any ideas of projects you would like to be involved in building on the farm we would love to hear from you. On our wish list at the moment is buil... more inside
