We are looking for an easygoing and motivated person / couple with plenty of initiative to stay with our family of 4 and help around the house and garden. We especially need help with the care of our younger daughter who has mobility issues. She is a sparky young girl who likes company and needs to be driven to and from school each day which we can not always manage so an experienced driver is essential.

We live 5 minutes walk from the beach in City Beach in Perth, but public transport is not particularly good here, so having your own vehicle is preferable. We would expect that you would share meals with the family most of the time and pitch in to help out with housework cooking dishes etc. but would leave us to our own devices sometimes too.
Current projects in addition to the general household duties are painting, setting up a vege garden, and building a chook pen.
As you would be staying in our house with us, as part of our family, we prefer an initial trial of a week, a... more inside

My home stay is part of Mia Mia community housing co-operative where we have a 2 acres of wonderful organic garden, located in beautiful Denmark. Because we are on the south coast we are close to several magnificent beaches, where surfing is available and we have forests of Kari trees and the Bibblumun track for bush walking. There is a lot of natural beauty here and much to see.
We grow our veggies and fruit organically an we have a small orchid and 2 chook runs. We love having travellers and those who come always enjoy themselves.
My own property is in need of some gardening help and some landscaping. Inside my house I have a comfy room available for one or two people, free Wifi connection and hearty food for breaky or dinner. I make a mean curry! I could use some domestic help inside my home because I'm usually pretty busy.

This is an avocado and beef cattle property in the tall forest area of SW Western Australia.
Accommodation would be in a separate house that has 3 bedrooms, with basic requirements such as electric stove, microwave, fridge, hot water, wood fire, bedding and linen, washing machine, no mobile phone coverage, internet access and landline telephone at main house by arrangement.

The property is isolated (20km to Northcliffe) so if you have a car that would be good. There may be a car available (conditions apply) for you to use if urgently required.
We would like help with such tasks as pruning, electric fencing, distributing mulch, garden work, and keeping your house clean.

We can arrange pick up from Northcliffe town if coming by bus (daily service from Bunbury).
In exchange for full board we would like help for about 5 or 6 hours per weekday, usually in the morning, weather permitting, but this is flexible.

We live in a small town of Witchcliffe, 5 minutes drive from Margaret River with beautiful beaches and forests on our door step
We live in a small strawbale cottage that I built a few years ago
We are about to start building 2 more strawbale pods.
One being used for a kitchen/dining the other for two bedrooms and a bathroom.
We are planning to lay the slab the end of May 16 and start on the post and beam structure late August.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about straw bale building. We would like to host people with an interest in straw bale or sustainable building who can help with the general labour, lime rendering, carpentry...
Experience in building would be great, but not essential.
If you would like to help we would welcome your labour and skills, We have a bit of room to park your van or even pitch your tent, we also have a bell tent that might be available depending on the dates.

The property is a free standing house in a charming hills village in the hills outside Perth. The grounds are two thirds of an acre with some fruit trees but the grounds are an old 1920s property which is undergoing restoration as a typical hills property; reestablishing vegetable garden, restoring the old fruit trees and most importantly removing the invasive weeds that have colonized the hillside block of land.

From autumn through to late spring this district is a very popular tourist location due to the wild flowers that bloom in the extensive bush surroundings. Western Australia has the greatest range of wildflowers any where in the world!

If you are interested in gardening and horticulture from autumn through to spring householders in this area need considerable help in their gardens. The blocks of land are as large as mine so they need constant maintenance. Earlier HelpX visitors have obtained paid work in this way.

The accommodation on offer is an upstairs bedroom... more inside

*MAY UPDATE 13/05/16 We are urgently seeking carpenters and gardeners for our farm house restoration project AND helpers to assist with seasonal work (e.g. stick picking), tidying farm and help with meals.*

We have two beautiful equestrian and cattle properties in the south west, only 1.5 hours from Perth city. We breed beef cattle and breed and agist horses.

Our home farm is nestled in a valley, with a natural creek running into a series of dams. The property, which has idyllic country views, is surrounded by forrest and is the perfect place for nature walks, feeding the ducks, canoeing or just relaxing on the deck around the dam. We are trying to renovate our house on this farm, so at the moment we are living in the dairy on our working farm.

Our working farm is just 20 mins from our home farm. With just over 200 cattle and around 60 horses, there is always plenty to do! We do not offer horse riding on our farms, but our family have a riding farm not far from us where you... more inside

Our property is surrounded by hills that are great to explore with caves on one of them. We are a large cropping farm who employs large amounts of back packers during seeding and harvest. In exchange for free accommodation, food and wifi we would like some house duties completed for a few hours every day then can use free time swimming in our pool or watching Foxtel. Some child minding on occassions. Transwa buses come up Mondays & Thursdays.
