We are a british couple with a smallholding in Normandy with some small animals and the usual dog and cats.

we are looking for someone who can get stuck in with painting and general DIY plus wood chopping and stacking. there is also a rather ragged garden that needs tackling!

We have room for 2/3 peope and there is use of wifi internet for email checking. We are flexible and easy going and rear much of our own meat and grow our own vegetables.

I aim to provide a variety of home cooked meals and different daily jobs and ask generally for 4-5 hours per day, 5-6 days a week plus help with chores and cooking occasionally.

There are local woodlands and lakes for those who enjoy walking and have the D-Day landing beaches within easy travelling distance as well as Mont St Michel. Our nearest train station is Vire and if arranged I am happy to collect/drop off.

Following the death of my partner I have a large garden which I need help with, both general maintenance and some stone walls to build. As a pensioner I can do much of the work but not the more manual jobs. I also have a large polytunnel which needs to be erected. A mobile home is available for volunteers as I now live in the barn. I also love to cook and am happy to provide vegetarian, or any required diets.

Hello everyone!

I'm 44, I'm French and I live with my 12-year-old son,in an old traditional norman farm, with several ancient buildings,3 ha of land and a river at the edge of the property,in Normandy. It's a very peaceful place and if you like calm and nature you will be delighted.
There's a Greenway(London-Dieppe-Paris) 200m from the house, where you can go hiking, cycling, rollerblading, etc... and the sea is at 25 kms (Dieppe).
I've got a dog, 2 cats and 2 horses.I speak French and English.

I need help to maintain the garden and the whole property, mainly for outdoor activities : mowing the lawn, cutting wood, strimming hedges, weeding, fixing fences, cleaning river banks..

One of the buildings has been renovated as a gite, and there'a also a bit of maintenance to do there,(cleaning on saturday, helping customers and gardening)

There's also a room I would like to renovate : cleaning and painting walls, floor and ceiling.

I 'm asking for 4 hours of work per... more inside

We are an English couple living in a beautiful little valley in Normandy with a few goats, basque pigs, hens, geese, bees, vegetables and fruit trees for our own consumption.
Chris is an artist but is currently working on rebuilding a barn to make a small house to rent. The walls, roof and windows are done but there is still a lot to do! We are using ecological materials and traditional building techniques where possible like lime hemp.
Laura is an English teacher and upholsterer.
Help needed depends on the building work in progress, the season, weather, and your skills. soon there could be a kitchen to build, floor to lay, greenhouse to construct etc.
We enjoy cooking, gardening, walking, travelling, swimming in the sea, watching movies etc. and would be happy to show you around.
The sea is 1 km away and 30 mins by car to Cherbourg (not many buses unfortunately)

We are an English family and have lived in France since the beginning of 2005. We are Richard, a retired forester, and Sue, a part-time teacher.

We live on a 5 ha small-holding and our intention is to be as self-sufficient as possible. During the winter months, we cut wood from the traditionally managed bocage hedgerows, to power our wood burners the following year. We have a small vegetable garden, that we are trying to enlarge and keep our own sheep, pigs and hens.

Richard and Sue have both worked in the countryside over many years and believe in maintaining a balance between their needs and the needs of indigenous wildlife.

Our own menagerie also includes two dogs, a cat (definitely 'The Boss"), a horse and a miniature horse.

The property is an old farm complex and has several outbuildings, including a gîte (a converted farmworker's cottage).

We realise that it would be difficult for one helper to provide all types of assistance, so we will gradually work t... more inside

Small small holding with pigs and rare breed sheep, also poultry and a couple of polytunnels. Looking for someone to help with the animals and prepare a few more permaculture beds, prepare the new duck pond, general fencing and so on.
We have 4 house cats and 3 Border Collies so dog and cat lovers are welcome. Accommodation is a self contained flat with little kitchen and loo etc.
Both Anne and I are French speakers, non smokers and meat eaters though we can accomodate vegetarians.
The house is a little way from a small village and about ten minutes from the local town. We are retired but not yet old farts! Willing to help with language as well as experience of all the animals. Close to some really good cultural/ touristic sites.
