*** Suits someone who is happy to interact with a child, can cook, and genuinely interested in spending quality time with a family ***

Looking for a female to stay with us as an au-pair/ motherís helper. We are a family of 3: Blue works full-time on shift schedule, Hazel is a stay-at-home mum and our little boy Tyler will turn 2 years old in Jan 2018 :)

Duties include: babysitting, playing, bathing, reading books to Tyler etc. Cook meals and open to learn simple recipes. General housework (wash dishes, vaccuum, cleaning, daily chores etc)

In exchange, you will have your own room, free wifi and free meals. We keep some of Tyler's things in the room and might need to enter at times, but we respect your privacy and will let you know first.

Hours: between 4-6hrs/day (with breaks), 6 days a week. Some days are more busy, other days are more relaxed. No heavy work and plenty of breaks/downtime especially if Tyler is asleep. The schedule depends on Blue's work shift but hours ... more inside

We live on a beautiful and very peaceful farm in Arcadia which is one hour north of the Sydney CBD. We are at the end of a quiet street and surrounded by national park. There isn't a neighbour in sight! There are lots of beautiful walking and riding trails right outside our gate, yet the shops are just 15 minutes away. Train stations are 30 minutes away so the city and beaches are very accessible.

Our workers and volunteers have free use of a great little Toyota Yaris so they can explore the local area, go shopping, get to the train stations and do lots of fun things on days off. They also have free wifi and I pay for all of their groceries.

I (Amanda) have a horse business. I give lessons and train horses for dressage and show jumping. I also try to go to competitions as often as possible. We usually have between 18 and 25 horses here so it's all pretty busy.

My husband Brett is a builder and he tries to work as locally as possible. He also has a long list of jo... more inside

What is expected of you:
4 easy hours per day, 5 days a week. Days off are flexible. You get 7 days meals, accommodation and transport. Best if you stay at least three weeks. If you book please turn up or notify us if you or not coming. We refuse a lot of HelpXers and find so many of the ones we agree to take are not turning up. We are away from shops and the tourist venues but others live separately on the farm. Unfortunately we get a few weeks of wet weather each year so we mainly stay inside the house and don't do outside work. During the winter months we hosted three groups of Chinese students. They didn't write a review but were happy with their stay.

Farm duties include:
Working with the host on the farm. Jobs are to keep the farm running with cattle, coffee, chickens, nut and fruit trees and home garden. We have old work clothes you can use. This is a large hobby farm not a commercial operation.

Broadminded male household with home cooked... more inside

The land has subtropical regrowth forest, a big man-made lake with waterbirds and lots of Aussie wildlife around the house. We produce a lot of our own food. It's a great place to chill out, get some insight into alternative lifestyles and enjoy nature. We can pick up from Kyogle, Nimbin, Lismore & Murwillumbah. We've travelled a lot and really enjoy sharing with visitors to Australia.

The Border Ranges National Park is close by and Mount Warning a 25 minute drive away, 1 hour drive to either Tweed coast or Byron coast beaches.

Hi, I'm Tracey and I have just moved to live in beautiful Brunswick Heads which is situated approx 20 mins north of Byron Bay. (we were in Mullumbimby - hence the reviews are from our home there) Brunswick is a stunning seaside village with great cafes, restaurant's and a beautiful river where you can swim, canoe or stand up paddle in crystal clear waters. There is also a main beach and a protected family lagoon as well. My son and I are situated approx 4 mins from the beach in a lovely home with our funny cat Furby. If you are needing a break from hostel living and feel like you need a home away from home then you are more than welcome to stay with us. I would love your help around the garden and general housekeeping, cooking and sharing the workload in return for your own room with queen size bed, tasty meals, and free time to enjoy all Brunswick has to offer. Non smokers , a mixed diet and both females and males welcome.

Great accommodation & delicious food is being offered to one friendly male traveller for 1-2 weeks. 5 Hours North Of Sydney!

Youíll be staying in a comfortable cosy apartment, which is separate from our house, with a wood fire and TV. The Telstra internet and phone signal here is really strong so youíll be able to connect with you family and friends back home.

Our main project is helping Graham build a log cabin along the river. Other duties may include fencing, moving cattle, gardening and general household duties. This would suit a man who is familiar with manual work. Graham will work by your side and provide all necessary training, while Chris will be busy preparing meals!

But itís not all about work: we enjoy sitting around a campfire getting to know one another and giving you a wonderful Australian outback experience. Our past helpers have written lovely reviews about their time with us, which we are very proud of. You can find some of these on the HelpX sites, or... more inside
