Welcome to our little farm on the internet. We have been hosting international travelers for six years and it has been a rewarding experience for us and them.

We share our passion for ethical and sustainable farming to anyone that has an interest. Our ideal helper is one that loves animals and will use their time here to interact and be involved with their care. Having your own initiative is a real bonus to us.

Seeking friendly open minded person that is happy to help around the home and around the farm. We prefer helpers to stay a minimum of two weeks and those with horse handling experience are very welcome.

Located just north of Melbourne we are country but not far from essential services. Plenty to see and do when time is your own.

Guests stay in the main house, with your own room and shared bathroom. All meals are meat and fish based with vegetables taken from the garden if the previous helpers have done their job ;) There is never a shortage of fresh vegetable... more inside

Hello happy travellers :)

Actively seeking fabulous, reliable helpers now.

The new vegetable gardens have been planted, so lots of watering is a must. New chickens to care for and immediate assistance with preparing for fire season. Lots of wood splitting to do but don't worry we have a machine that helps.

Our swimming pool is ready for you to enjoy.

Calling all green thumb gardeners, our vegetable gardens continue to need attention and watering over this growing season. The greenhouse could do with some love, the housework is alway there and our border collie is always looking for new friends.

We have a lovely 30 acre property, mainly bush setting on a hill top in Durham Lead. This is located 20 min from Ballarat, which is only one hour west of Melbourne CBD. We have a fully self-contained cottage available for various times of the year. We have recently purchased this property and still in the process of setting up and establishing vegie gardens, landscaping etc. ... more inside

Welcome to our beautiful Buddhist retreat centre nestled in the Snowy River Country of East Gippsland, halfway between Melbourne and Canberra. We are surrounded by state forest and abundant with wildlife (countless kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, native birds and the occasional koala!).
The centre belongs to The Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra (Sakya Losal Choe Dzong), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting peace and happiness. As such, here we host various retreats throughout the year, including meditation - both Buddhist and secular - yoga, tai chi, health and wellness, and family week.

There are a handful of committed volunteers living here and working to maintain this beautiful space. We are spiritual practitioners who have a relaxed and harmonious living environment built upon mutual respect. We welcome anyone with a genuine interest in spirituality and a desire to contribute to the community to come and share in this wonderful space with us.

We are a farmstay accommodation facility set in the tranquil countryside known as Strath Creek. We are nestled in the "Valley of 1000 Hills" with some of the best views Victoria has to offer. Our farmstay is a a relaxed environment with various activities that requires daily/weekly attention. From collecting eggs (seasonal), feeding the ducks and chickens and letting out and putting away each day to gardening and pruning and maybe some supervised horse feeding each day.
We do not have any children to look after! Ideally we would prefer people with traveling partners (Friends or couples, ) as we feel that they are better suited to our type of place and keep each other company.(We would also like that at least one can understand and speak some basic English). Please note, email us your HelpX details before calling.
But lets not forget our motto:
Eat when you are Hungry,
Sleep when you are tired and
Drink when you are thirsty!
We hope to hear from you soon !

Would you like to help out at a small organic market garden bordered by both a river and a creek in a beautiful valley surrounded by rolling hills and statuesque gum trees?

You can walk around the town and surrounding countryside and experience gorgeous views for photography, drawing and painting, or just contemplation. You can swim in our river (complete with mini-beach) as well as at the spectacular nearby attractions of Turpins Falls and The Cascades. There are tennis courts you could use in Metcalfe and we also have bikes you could use to explore the area.

We are 20 minutes away from Kyneton and Castlemaine, two great towns with historic buildings and artisan markets, and not much further from Daylesford and Bendigo.

We use some permaculture methods in the garden such as rotating pigs and chickens through the vegie beds and the mini-orchard. Everything is grown by hand and hoe. We grow a wide variety of vegies, berries and fruits which we supply to locals.
