Hello!
We are looking for some help returning a grand old victorian house built in 1865 to its former glory.
We are looking for help from middle of November until May 2018

We would expect about 5 -6 hours work a day, on 5 days of the week, in exchange, We can offer a comfortable room, wifi, and food.
A minimum of 2 weeks stay is expected of you, with options to extend if you are useful.

We currently have a helper so we may not need any one until next season. We are unable to take any one over Christmas and New Year.
We are a small family business and and have a 61 passenger boat, a gift shop and a B&B You would stay with us as one of the family, you will have your own en suite room. ( no smoking please) We would like you to help with the B&B and gift shop which is also an information point for the boat trips. We have a large garden so there is always lots to do there when there is time. It would be great if you can take a turn at cooking some times.
The village we stay in is near the Isle of Skye and has a great atmosphere, it is very friendly with two local pubs which have regular traditional music evenings. The village is on the loch and is good for water sports in the summer.
If you think you might like to stay up here for a few weeks do get in touch. We have loved having helpxers in the past and look forward to meeting more of you!

We welcome volunteers again next year (2018) from March

ESPECIALLY WELCOME: ANYONE GOOD WITH TRANSFORMING WOOD PALLETS INTO SOMETHING USEFUL! We have a large stack of pallets & would greatly appreciate help turning these into troughs for plants/vegetables, &/or fences.

We are an independent, not-for-profit hostel in a picturesque, historic town called Inveraray. Inveraray is in the southern highlands of Scotland, on the shore of Loch Fyne - Scotland's longest sea loch - close to the Arrochar Alps and Loch Lomond. It's home to several worthwhile attractions, including a castle, and there are several local woodland walks where you've a good chance of spotting Scottish wildlife. The town boasts lovely cafes, restaurants and very good pubs with live music at the weekend, a chippy, a decent supermarket, a whisky shop and convenient transport connections for Oban, Glasgow and Argyll. Nearby is an excellent craft brewery, an activity centre for horse riding or paintballing, several b... more inside

We are a married couple with a son aged 20 and daughter aged 18, We live in the village of Dornie close to Eilean Donan Castle (the one in Highlander) in an old croft house on the shore of a sea loch in the West Highlands of Scotland.
We need help to maintain the house, garden and occasionally a historic wooden boat. We recycle old materials wherever possible and have to work to budget as no profit is made from these activities. Most of the tasks are outdoors, the weather can be very bad at any time of year so flexibility with volunteering hours is required.
We keep free range chickens and ducks, so there is usually no shortage of fresh eggs.

We have recently moved into a unique property that was once the vegetable garden for Rosneath Castle (now demolished). The garden has been totally redesigned and comprises 1.5 acres of formal garden, a half acre of organic vegetable garden and five acres of woodland. We would love some enthusiastic folks with a real can do approach to come and help us with all sorts of things from organic gardening, wood cutting some inside refurbishment work and general maintenance. We are a couple in our fifties working full time ...heading towards retirement when we can spend most of our time outdoors.
In the meantime, we would love you to come and help us and in return we will provide ensuite accommodation and all meals. We would love you to work the equivalent of 28 per week but you are free to put in the hours as suits you...all upfront or 4 hours per day...we are very flexible about that.

We’re looking for some volunteers, ideally couples or pairs of friends (individuals are welcome too) to help with our various projects this winter. These are mainly site maintenance, painting and general tidying/cleaning. Being handy with a paint brush and good at DIY would be great, a background in maintenance would be extremely helpful.

Comrie Croft is an award winning eco-campsite, mountain bike centre, group accommodation and wedding venue set on a 230-acre estate in rural Perthshire. We are a more than profit business who are working hard to achieve our vision of rural regeneration and getting back to our crofting roots.

Our estate is home to a large steading, cosy farm house, barn/cow shed event space, 7 Nordic Kata’s (kind of like a tipi), meadow and woodland camping pitches and some of the best compact downhill mountain biking trails in Scotland. Also on site are a few small businesses who share our passion, Tomnah’a Market Garden, The Tea Garden (café) and The Fa... more inside

An update 24 October2017: we are now full until 2018.

We are Michael (English) and Nolwenn (French)

We live in a 1902 Arts & Crafts house on Loch Lomond, about 25km west of Glasgow city centre.

We are looking for help restoring our 'lost' 1902 garden, looking after our small holiday cottage, DIY projects (plumbing, wiring, joinery), and generally around the house. (For more detail please read the section below).

This is a long profile, because we have been doing this for a while and think it is better for us all to know what we are about. If you come, you will hopefully be here a while so it may be worth taking the time to read this.

We typically host one or two people at a time, all year round, and usually for at least 3-4 weeks, longer is possible if we all get along. This is so you can learn how we look after the cottage, and get involved in some of our bigger projects. However shorter stays are possible, if we already have a long-term helper.

As hosts, it is ha... more inside
