I have a little pink cottage that needs some work and love and colour, any work is good work!.....we need a veg garden, plastering, painting and ideas. Any talent or trade would be so so welcome.I am really busy in the summer so help would welcome now until mid June.
The pink cottage has a bus stop right outside which can take you to the most beautiful beaches and surf spots in Cornwall. The Camel estuary is a short walk down a steep hill. A great place for kayaking and the Camel trail is used by cyclists from Padstow harbour to Bodmin moor with no hills or cars.
I can offer 1 bedroom, a shared bathroom and use of kitchen, internet,
a relaxed and flexible approach on the subject of hours and meals.

We have a large veg plot, about 30 hazlenut trees, fruit and xmas trees, chickens, bees and 2 teenage sons. We have lived here 15 years and have links with neighbouring farms and veg growers. We are both self employed but keen to generate more income from our garden. Although not certified organic we use no sprays or chemical fertilizers and are keen to protect our surrounding wildlife.
Tasks can include weeding,pruning,pest control,
planting, shearing, haymaking, fruit picking all depending on the season.
Full board and accomodation is provided.
The part of suffolk we live in is great for walking and cycling,(we have bikes etc you can borrow).
We're about an hours drive away from the coast so we usually head to the river for swimming and conoeing during the summer months.
We playfootball every Tuesday at the pub all year round and there's a lively local music scene.
Current jobs for April/May:
there's alot of gardening, fencing, ewes about to lamb etc.

This is a garden landscaping project

We are looking for a person who would be interested in landscaping our back garden. It is a small garden. It needs the topsoil removed and the garden turned in to a patio with some raised beds. We have a small green house that has already been assembled but it needs to be positioned and the glass inserted. You would be involved in the concept and design as well as transforming the garden.

We are really looking for someone with experience and who enjoys this kind of work.
We are Paul & Alison and we are looking for one a suitable HelpXer.

This place we have is in Oakham, in the centre of England. Oakham is on the train line that connects Stansted Airport, Cambridge, Peterborough and Birmingham. It is really easy to get to. We are also near Nottingham and Leicester.

We have also had many HelpXers come to stay with us before but at our place in France so look at Host number 7747 if you want to see what other HelpXers have said about ... more inside

Hello,

This is a homestay very close to the centre of Birmingham. It is the largest and most populous British city outside London. There are many fun things to do in the area and the homestay is being redecorated. I am looking for volunteers during the month of April to help with the redecoration in exchange for accommodation and breakfast. This involves stripping the walls, painting, laying new floors, running new wiring. Only 4 hours work per day. I look forward to hearing from you!

I live in Marden Henge, an ancient site some 3,000 years old! There is always outdoor work to do here... fixing fences, mucking out stables, & gardening. I live half way between Stonehenge and Avebury, so this is a lovely place to explore Wiltshire from. I am happy to give accomodation and good food and a warm welcome in exchange for help. However, as I live in the country any applicants would need their own transport, or be happy not to go very far! I am looking for help Mon-Fri with weekends away ...... I can offer comfy but basic accomodation. Please telephone me if you are interested.... between 9am and 6pm. Thank you.

Ex Forestry Commission part clear-felled woodland site, now run as an agro-forestry plot or Forest Garden. We use livestock to help manage the plot, provide stock for sale and for our table.

This was a forestry plantation - there is still no infrastructure and facilities are EXTREMELY basic. We have hosted Wwoof volunteers - we find limiting visits to a week generally works for us and volunteers.

Short visits certainly considered - maybe as staging post into or out of Wales. Longer term only considered after we've met and established link
