A working farm and equestrian centre. Looking for help around the house and garden. Someone who loves to cook would be gratefully received and would have free range of our kitchen.

We are situated on an arable farm in the Worcestershire countryside. We run a busy equestrian centre and have many different events going on during the year. Our location would be suited to someone who enjoys the outdoors and country life.

We enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures and learning about their way of life as well as sharing ours with them.

Short or long stay, individuals or couples welcome.

We can offer you a large bedroom with private bathroom, all your meals, and a friendly, welcoming, family environment.

We are looking for some help in our beautiful, peaceful, rural part of Cornwall, 15 minutes from Falmouth. As public transport is almost non existent, anyone wanting to come here really needs a car. We have a big garden, orchard and vegetable plot but would like some occasional help with it as both of us are recovering from injury and illness. That would probably mean weeding, clearing bracken and brambles, maybe repairs to stone walls, perhaps some digging and mowing. Basically stuff we now find is too much for us at the moment!
We may also be converting part of a large shed into a writers/artists studio and spare room - we would appreciate carpentry/building/painting help with this project once we start! That would be fantastic help!
We can offer a double bedroom and your own bathroom or you can camp in the orchard. We have television and wifi. It's just the two of us plus our Bengal cat. The Helford river is not far away and a short walk down the hill takes you to the creek.

We run a very friendly Cooking School on the South Devon Coast which has been running for 10 years. We need help preparing for and helping (not teaching) during our regular classes. We are developing a new area for outdoor cooking and need gardening/landscaping support with this project. This would suit a couple or friends travelling together with interests in cooking and gardening.
Accommodation will be in a comfortable twin room with shared bathroom. We have two friendly dogs.
South Devon is a great area for walking, canoeing, sailing, painting and birdwatching.

We live on an organic farm of 40 ha in rural Wiltshire. The farm is entirely grass and woodland and we rear sheep and beef cows. The surrounding countryside is particularly beautiful with wonderful walks and bike rides from the house. We are looking for help with lambing, in particular catching sheep who are having difficulty. This a real opportunity to learn about sheep farming and caring for new born lambs. There is always work to do in the garden too. No real skills required just energy and enthusiasm. We are a couple in our mid sixties Tim is an artist and we have an art gallery and holiday cottage in the farmyard. We have accommodation for up to two people couples or singles all welcome. We are fairly self sufficient during the summer and healthy home cooked food will be provided. We eat meat but are very happy to accommodate vegetarians or vegans. We have two dogs and some chickens and ducks. We are quite remote, a mile from the nearest village but Tisbury station is... more inside

My wife and I live in a single story home.
We live near the South Coast of England,
(2 miles north) from the beach.
We also live near (2 miles south)of Britain's newest National Park, a beautiful area called 'The New Forest'.
There many, many things to see and do in this area, on land or sea.
We have excellent road, bus and train services locally, London is under 2 hours by train. We are also just a short distance from 2 regional airports Bournemouth and Southampton for travel further a field.
We have a medium size garden which always needs attention, eg digging, pruning and weeding which can be a physical task. I use a wheelchair which makes keeping our garden and general outside repairs, painting and maintenance a difficult task.
We normally host 1 person but have hosted 2 people for short periods normally 2-3 weeks in exchange for doing some of the general jobs around the house and garden.
You can Google the area to give you a better idea of our location.
You would have ... more inside

We urgently require an EXPERIENCED pizza chef. We can offer a great package (including accommodation if required and use of a car), however we need someone to start asap and commit to staying until October. Would consider a couple looking for a change of scene wanting to work in beautiful West Dorset for the summer. Really great opportunity for reliable, trustworthy, talented person/people. Please do get in touch for an informal chat if you are interested.

Currently I am helping and visiting other hosts around the UK and am not really looking to host at the moment but I would be more than happy to facilitate something basic for those with backpacks and sleeping bags and would like to visit the city.

I would be interested to hear from you if you have skills in sustainable or creative fields and wouldn't mind sharing them with me. I am interested in all things nature and art and work with groups in the city such as Transition Liverpool and Liverpool Friends of the Earth so there may be some things you could help with in these groups.

I can offer a floor (or some floor cushions - or some space to camp in the garden) for one or two people in exchange for a few hours work each day.

I am not in a position to be able to provide meals i'm sorry but there is a gas cooker if people would like to cook and contribute a few pounds for the meter.

Apologies in advance for any delay in responding I will do my best to acknowledge and re... more inside

Hello helpers!

We are a small family of 3 living in the village of Wookey Hole at the foot of the Mendip Hills in Somerset. We have a good sized garden which would love some help with! In exchange we can offer you your own room (small but fine for one person or a couple), 3 meals a day and excursions to explore the local area.

We are ideally situated for many local attractions including Wookey Hole caves (a 10 minute walk down the hill), Glastonbury Tor and town (15 mins drive), Wells - the smallest city in England and home to the magnificent Wells Cathedral (2 miles down the road), Cheddar Gorge (20 mins drive) and numerous breathtaking countryside walks, including to Ebbor Gorge (just walk straight out the front door and up the hill).

One of us works full time and the other works part-time and is a full time mum the rest of the time! This means we don't have as much time for our lovely garden as we'd like so we're looking for someone (preferably a solo traveler but a cou... more inside

large urban house and garden.

I would like help in the garden and doing things around the house. There is only enough work for one person for a week about every 2 months. Things that need doing are painting doors and fencing, digging the garden, lifting furniture and repairing fencing and various household things includng hanging curtains but not electrics.

I have a logging sales from the house but I will not have anyone cut wood unless they have a full qualification as well as experience. Lifting and stacking part of my jobs though.

It would be useful if you could sew and mend to reshape curtains.
