A small house in the Corsican hills, 25 minutes from the sea by car. Village (Vico) is 3 kms away It is really a summer house, but I spend a lot of time there year round; Corsica has so much to offer!

A car would be very useful. Or motorbike

To work on the property (stone walls; gardening; chainsawing) and on the house (basic DIY, some electricity, some painting).
Experience is required (I am myself not of much help!)

Conditions to be agreed upon the basis of an x hour work week in exchange for lodging (nice room with own bathroom). Kitchen available as well as Internet.

Hello, i am leaving in a self sufficient house, trying to have the best impact on the nature i can. I am using permacultur principles and ecoconstruction, and i need some help to make this project grow and become a reality as soon as possible. I will receive groups of 10 people soon, in order to share on spirituality, personal development, and emotions.

Bienvenue à la ferme, Welkom op de boerderij, Welcome at the farm!

We have a dairy farm and milk 80 cows in the region Limousin, Haute-Vienne.
We are Alain(34) and Bevin(34), Dutch originally, but also speak English and French. We are a young farmers couple with two children.

We like to exchange life experiences en culture. Living on a farm there's always something to do.
Different projects, and of course the daily routine of feeding and milking the cows etc.

At the moment we are in the winter season and the cows stay in the stable, and we are also in the middle of the calf season.
It is time for maintenance chores and more work in the stable.

Other hobbies are the small veg garden, bee keeping and rock climbing.

If you're interested we're happy to answer your questions

We live in a beautiful part of France, and we are looking for flexible independent helpers, to help us.
We are looking for help at the moment to restore a barn, we would like to joint and render à stone wall with lime rendering. The garden also needs some work, weeding, trimming, cutting, etc. as well as some painting/restoration work on the buildings and garden furniture .
Building or gardening experience is valued, but common sense and good attitude are always a plus. Some of the work can be physically demanding, so be ready to sweat!

In exchange for 4_5 hours a day, we offer accommodation and meals with us, and hopefully some nice evenings learning new stuff, and having a laugh.
St Jean de Paracol is a very small village, with a good atmosphere and with plenty of great places around to visit, particularly for those who enjoy walking.

A great opportunity for experienced people who would like the use of land for sustainable, ecological agriculture. We are looking to hand over responsibility of the land for 2-5 years while we renovate the farmhouse.

We have 5 hectares of farmland, 40mins from the Spanish border, 20mins from Bayonne and Biarritz surf beaches. the land currently is covered in new woodland with some old trees, bamboo, tonnes of brambles and ancient vines (not currently in a state for grape production).

The house is uninhabitable, so accommodation will either be in a caravan or a tent.

This is a different situation to normal helpex arrangements as you will be independent, providing your own food and other living arrangements. Because we are renovating, the living conditions on site are pretty basic, although there is electricity, water and a hot shower under a walnut tree. There is the potential for internet (it's not currently activated) and are just finishing the temporary kitchen with mud &... more inside

Annie and I are renovating our house and log chalet, ready for french students studying english. A lot of work has been done but still a long way to go! At the moment we are about to put back together an acquired conservatory. We are looking for help with general building work, nothing specialised, but another strong pair of hands about the place. We are trying to do up our house for free as a challenge to our selves by recycling, reusing, readapting what we have or can swap, barter or source locally.A lot of our food is grown locally, or at this time of year there is an abundant supply of free food in the fields and hedgerows, so lots of home cooking. Don't eat a lot of meat, some fish, but healthy! Accommodation for our helpx will be in the main house or the log chalet. Whoever is brave enough to come to us will be warmly welcomed as part of the family. All food drinks etc., Included, transport when we go on shopping trips etc., evenings out sometimes, or evenings in with books, ga... more inside

Domaine with 4 hectares of land.I go to a lot of dog shows so I go missing for 2-4 days at the most one week. 2 retired racehorses. Private chapel on the ground. Old farm dated 1731. 6 Border Terrier dogs. 1 large Italian rescue dog. Walled garden. Walled land. Needs some field attention. Garden could do with some imagination. 2 plantane/sycamore trees that persistently drop leaves and although the branches have been cut twice, they grow back. Property is renovated but as my energy cut out I might have wall papered only 3/4 of a room. But it is not too noticeable. There is a super 48m garden kitchen that I created out of 3 vide caves but have yet to find anyone to change the already purchased double glazed windows. Or tunnel through the wall to mount the chimney for the Italian forno wood burner. The place is now lacking some energy as I reconstructed from roof down. I even put electricity in the chapel. I converted the huge tractor shed into an indoor riding school which the horses... more inside

We have just moved to our new house which will be re-opening as a campsite in spring 2018.
We have a huge task in hand, so are looking for help with renovations to get us ready in time....
Jobs are mostly likely to be light duties like grounds clearance, fencing, painting, decorating etc etc.
we do need an electrician (who is familiar with french system.....i know, big ask!)
and, anyone who may be able to help with re-roofing, tiling and rendering, plumbing/bathroom fitting.....the list goes on!!!!.
We have a clean comfortable home to share and good food.
You would have a bedroom to yourself, but for now, we would all be sharing a bathroom.
You are more than welcome to camp if you prefer.
Three good meals a day, and although we are not vegetarians ourselves, we can cater for a vegetarian diet.
We are situated in the midst of the forest about 15 mins from saumur.
there is plenty of things to do and explore around the area, such as multiple chateaus of the loire valley, mush... more inside
