Would you like a few days on Scotland Island, a beautiful Sydney location? I can host someone for 3-4 days. You may be able to stay longer if you have particular skills. At the moment, the main job is cleaning inside and out, and perhaps painting.

Scotland Island is in the beautiful waterway of Pittwater, reached by boat from Church Point. No shops, few vehicles, lots of peace and quiet. My children have grown up and moved on, so I have space to share – and need help to look after the house and garden! Non-smokers only please.

The house: I can offer a large, private downstairs room, surrounded by greenery. The main house, bathroom and deck are upstairs, with views through trees to the water.

Main tasks: There is always weeding and general garden clean up.Inside jobs are cleaning, mending, computer, general household organisation, odd jobs. If you have a particular skill to offer, great. For garden, you do need work clothes and shoes - long pants and shirt, hat ... and n... more inside

We are a young family and Granny who live on our own peace of paradise, and are in the process of setting it up as a Permaculture Farm. 5 minutes out of Mullumbimby we live on a tenancy-in-common (AKA Multiple Occupancy) with an awesome group of neighbours.

We have two daughters 8 and 4, 2 cows, 21 chickens, 7 guinea fowl a bunny and 3 ducks. We have abundant wildlife around, and plenty of cows on the shared 30 acres that surrounds our property.

We are looking for help setting up and maintaining gardens, and orchard, fencing, building projects, house cleaning and childcare. Cyrano is a permaculture activist with years of training alongside David Holmgren. Bianca is a passionate homemaker who loves cooking and preserving tasty and nourishing food. We enjoy visiting the beach, playing music, and enjoying nature.

We would offer a lovely renovated caravan in exchange for 15-20 hours of work per week (depending on tasks) and would prefer 2-3 days work per week and 2 days of r... more inside

Hi, We have a small organic farm in Rous Mill, on the lovely Northern Rivers, 30 min to Byron Bay. We started farming on the land 1yr ago on half and acre, and we are now in the process of expanding the farm to around 3 acres under production for the spring/summer period. We grow a wide range of mixed veggies, which we sell through two local markets, along with some larger crops, that we wholesale to other local farmers and a cottage wholesaler in Brisbane.

The farm Team consists of myself Caine, 29yr, Aaron, 29yr and Pearl, 25yr. We are fun easy going people that have a flare for growing good quality produce and we each bring something interesting and dynamic to the team. We are looking for people that have a passion for the field or who just want to learn new skills and experiences. We have a large spare room for you to stay in, so privacy :)

We are in a great spot with Ballina and its beaches only 15 min away, and two waterholes within 5 min drive. Meals and accommodation w... more inside

we are able to offer two possibilities in hosting you. Our need at present however, is for support in reforestation and looking after a market garden. any support is welcome!

(a) Diptipur retreat.
This is a small retreat and accommodation facility that has been our home, and currently in transition. We host retreats (writing, art, yoga spiritual etc) on a regular basis, and require support to keep the place looking beautiful so that it is a positive experience for the retreatants. The facility is located in the hinterland of Byron Bay, our beautiful mud brick home is nestled in regenerated native forest on hillside with lovely vistas and delightful breezes.

Our primary help needed at the moment is gardening, and regeneration of rainforest. This can be scratchy and physically demanding - a willingness to get the dirt under the fingernails in order to free the environment of weeds for the emerging trees. it is tough but satisfying work.

We are a family including three delightful children aged 9,12 and 14 who live on a 20 hectare property, 20 kms from the heart of Canberra and 2.5 hours from the Snowy Mountains and the South Coast NSW beaches. Nearby are the Centenniael Trail (that you can ride or walk around the northern ACT), the Brindabella Range and Murrumbidgee River. Your host Ro, has farmed for the past 10 years and is passionate about conservation – 10 hectares of endangered grassy box woodland, is conserved on this property. The remainder of the land (a former orchard) is home to a menagerie of animals including horses, chooks, dogs, sheep and cockatiels. Kangaroos are regularly seen lazing in the paddocks.

Buildings on the farm include our pise (rammed earth) home, its update - a turn of the century handmade brick cottage, a worker’s cottage made of kerosene tins and a double story handmade wooden shed. We have a kitchen garden. Accommodation for our visitors is in a cute 1960s caravan with shared bathr... more inside
