We have recently moved into a house in the foothills of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Our property has 22 vegi patches & also a creek running through the back. We are looking for help with general gardening, tiling, painting & possible fencing. We have 2 very cute Shetland sheepdogs who can be a bit noisy in the mornings, so must be a dog lover. Accommodation would be a double bedroom basement studio (just renovated) with own sitting room, kitchenette & bathroom. It is quite private with own separate entrance. Food would be provided for breakfast & lunch, evenings you would be welcome to eat with us (non vegetarian). We are close to the train station, it is 1 hour exactly to center of Melbourne. Length of stay can be negotiable from 1 week +. We are a sociable couple, enjoy meeting new people & love a glass of wine (or 2) in the evenings.

We are a family of four (with two sons aged 16 and 12 years). We own a semi rural property about 1.5km from the township of Mount Beauty. Our property has a large vegetable garden, an orchard as well as an extensive raspberry patch. We would love some help with jobs such as mowing lawns, pruning, weeding and garden projects.
We have a few boats, many bikes and a few pairs of ski's that could be borrowed to go exploring the area.

We live on 77 partially forested, hilltop acres, full of kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and native birds. The township of Castlemaine is only 11 km away (and where we will be collecting you from the train station). Historic gold mining towns are nearby where you can explore our Gold Rush history.
Our home is quaint and rustic. We live in a passive solar mud brick/stone house, fueled by solar power and have an outdoor composting toilet. We drink rainwater and water our garden from our dams. Water is always an issue where we live and we would expect all HelpXers to respect water saving practices, e.g. having 3 minute showers.
Our garden is organic and we grow vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, and keep chickens and bees.
We are professional teachers and work part time. Mischa plays the didgeridoo, is the garden guru and Catherine makes hand knitted garments from handspun yarn prepared from raw fleeces and tends the bees and chickens.
We both speak fluent German, and Catherine... more inside
