Hello,

Looking for a female cleaner: Mid-Jul to end-August.

We are a lovely family from London with 2 teenage boys (14 and 17) with a holiday home in Saubion, France. English and French spoken so basic English/French is required. We will be in Saubion from mid-July to end-August when we need help.

Our house has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 toilets situated in 3 hectares of beautiful gardens and a swimming pool.

From MID-JULY to END-AUGUST, we are looking for a friendly, efficient woman who can help with housekeeping duties on a daily basis: cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, toilets, tidying bedrooms, perhaps help in food preparation, laundry etc. Previous cleaning experience necessary as it's a big house.

You will have your own bedroom with bathroom. Of course, 3 (nutritious and delicious) meals a day provided.

We are just a few kilometres away from the most beautiful white sand beaches in France, also known as the surf capitol of Europe. The beach and nearby town... more inside

Hi there, Manue and Tobias here. Where? The Bearn? A well-kept secret in the South West of France. A beautiful and diverse region with its own timezone - 15 minutes behind the rest of France. It has everything that you need including food, wine AOCs, music, culture, rivers, mountains, surf.

Here a two piece orchestra (with riffs as an agricultural scientist/viticulturist/inventing/building type, art therapist, dance specialist), are slowly setting up an organic/permaculture inspired project on a jewel of a piece of land (see fotos - the diamond shape). The soil (a clay sandy mix), aspect, exposition and shelter are all beautiful - sadly the land had been neglected for 4 years so there is lots to do. Just entering the 6th year. We have been living on the land for over a year.
Planned work:

UPDATE - The veranda/hangar and water system are all but finished. The rest is general agriculture, along with the other projects below. Come and join in!

To any Helpers who are planning to visit South-West France in the next month....we are hoping to find some suitably enthusiastic helpers for the whole month of May 2017, and it's a beautiful time of year to visit the Dordogne!
You will find us an easy-going, adventurous, young(ish) English couple living and working for the past 14 years in a beautiful, large property in the Dordogne region of SW France. You would love staying at our place! We very much enjoy meeting new people and do a lot of international travelling ourselves. We have older children in their 20’s who are sometimes at home with us from time to time.
We rent out our house during the summer months and need to maintain it in tip-top condition for our guests.
In return for very comfortable accommodation and tasty meals, we would like help with any or all of the following: gardening (and land management of our 42 acres), tree-cutting and log-splitting (all machinery based), decorating (window frames and shutters), gen... more inside

We are a family of 4 living in the Gironde, 20 minutes drive from Saint Emillon in the Bordeaux wine-region and very close to the quaint lively village of Gensac and the Dordogne river. Fiona is from New Zealand, Niels is from Denmark and we have 2 primary-school aged daughters, who both go to the local village-school. We are in our mid 40'ies and easy-going we believe :-) France has been our home-country for 4 years. We live in an old house, which we are currently renovating little by little. we have had great experiences with Helpx and could do with a couple of extra sets of hands for a little while. At the moment we are looking at digging a pool in our garden. We are looking at tidying up the garden-area around where the pool is going in with dry-walls, clearing and moving of stone and debris. All pretty heavy-duty stuff. We are getting machinery in to help with most of it, apart from the dry-walling. If you're handy with your hands in the renovating-department we are also loo... more inside

We are a friendly couple (Sue and Xavier) requiring some help in setting up a bnb and ultimately a triathlon centre with its own allotment, chicken coop, running track, swimming pool and gym. There is an extensive list of jobs from gardening to indoor DIY. All abilities welcome.

The 1872 house we are renovating is situated at the bottom of the Pyrenees just south of Pau. Sports enthusiasts, nature lover or those wanting to improve DIY skills will enjoy what we have to offer.
Hours of work will depends on the jobs but a full day's work will see you with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Accommodation is within the house, shared room (large double) and bathroom. This shared status will evolve with time as our next step is to set extra en-suite bathrooms.
Triathlon specific coaching is available from Xavier, a qualified coach (BYO equipment) and Sue is a qualified massage therapist (charge applies).

We've been renovating and converting a huge barn using natural materials and reusing the original materials where possible.
We are situated in the heart of the forest in the Perigord Natural Park 4km from nearest town, which is lively and beautiful. If you want to be totally immersed in nature and appreciate the wildlife, this is the place for you.
We would like to get a team together to prevent further decay of the larger barn i.e. To strip the roof and retile, also to rebuild parts of stone wall.
There is a lot of work to be done outside like repairs to roof, moving stones, clearing ground, making drainage, levelling, fencing and extending the vegetable plot. The ground has been left unattended for many years but we have made a start planting fruit trees and started a veggie plot using the principles of Permaculture. Julia has done the permaculture certificate and would be happy to pass on what I know. We lived off grid for seven years but do now have electricity.
We would ... more inside
