Hi there, I am a single mum with 2 lovely kids and a furbaby called Parker. My daughter is 12 and my son is 14. My dairy farm milks 500 dairy cows in the beautiful Kokatahi Valley which is 20km from Hokitika. This area has many outdoor activities to enjoy and a great social community. I can lend you my mountain bike to ride the many cycle trails if you're interested.

I'd love a female who could be home when my daughter gets home from school 3:30pm -6pm as i will be calf feeding from august on. In the spring i feed the calves twice a day so i'd appreciate a hand getting the dinner sorted and the odd load of washing folded. You are more than welcome to come onto the farm with me.

There is a large spare room for you to make your own, free wi-fi and heaps to fill in your time.

If you're interested, please send me a message.

Thanks for reading this.

Note: At the moment I'm spending a lot of time in Nelson and am needing a hand with building all sorts of things. So let me know if either Nelson or Otira is on your itinerary.

Also, I'm often looking to employ people who have steel work or construction experience on a project-by-project basis.

I have a property in Otira on the western side of Arthurs Pass National Park.
The surrounding areas are stunning, with a lot of opportunity for trekking, rock and alpine climbing.
My property was formerly a road works depot, and as such is very industrial. It is sandwiched between a railway line and a highway which can be momentarily noisy.
I need some assistance to get things tidied up and make the place a bit more homely. There is a cabin that needs a little bit more work.

Possible work includes:

- General cleaning of the cabin
- Painting the window frames
- Digging post holes for a fence
- Cutting firewood

If you know how to use tools I have some ... more inside

I grew up on dairy farms in New Zealand and now own a share in a couple on the West Coast of the south island. I joined help x in July 2016 after my sister in law has had many successful placements.

For january and february 2017, i am likely to be too busy and tired to do help x. Its not fair to help x if you are here for a experience and im out most of the day then come home and fall asleep infront of tv. I have Lots of tractor work, silage making, farm admin and milking c

In AugusT-October there will be some baby calves to feed! You maybe able to go to the milking shed and see how it looks to milk a few hundred cows.

The kind of jobs you may be helping with when staying would be. The first priority would be helping with some housework. Have the house fire burning through the day, maybe cook a meal for dinner, help with dishes. It depends on the week sometimes I may have you help feed calves, or hose down the shed after milking. Once you have shown me how you work ... more inside

I offer meals and accomodation in return for four hours work per day.
You'll have a comfortable room in my home with free WiFi.
I need help with indoor and outdoor tasks. Gardening, weeding, lawn mowing, cleaning, bedmaking, ironing, waterblasting and splitting firewood and painting. I run a small airbnb so summer work is timed around departure of guests.
At this time I'm preparing for the coming season.
Please consider whether or not you have some of these skills before you apply.
I do not need someone to cook (although help is appreciated in the kitchen) or childmind.

I enjoy cooking healthy food including meat.
Non smokers only please.

Short term help is preferred but this can be negotiated.

I live in the country so prefer people to have their own car so they can get out and about to see our wonderful area.
I'm happy to have a single girl stay for a few days without transport. If you are happy to fit in with what I'm doing I can show you around.

We are a motel/backpacker business situated 35km south of Fox Glacier on the Haast Highway. We also have a beef and sheep farm so opportunity for a variety of work if the motels aren't too busy. Looking for happy helpers to help out during the summer tourist season which starts in December and goes through until April. If you have a week or so to fill you would have your own self contained accommodation and breakfast and lunch for three hours work each day (Usually 9am - 12 noon) We provide toast, spreads, tea and coffee in your room for breakfast then a good lunch and you then have the rest of the day to explore the area. Due to our location it is an advantage to have your own transport to make the most of your time in the area. We are near some beautiful beaches and walks and 25 minute drive to Fox Glacier so lots of great things to do in your down time. Easy going host couple in our 50's with 2 grown up children who would love to help you enjoy our part of the world.

We are a brand new holiday park right on the beach front in the little town of Ross, 25km south of Hokitika.
We have upcycled shipping containers repurposed for over night & short stay accommodation plus many powered and unpowered sites.

We have 2.5hectare of land, with 3 large grassed areas and landscaped established banks of flax.
We are looking for all round help. Help with the grounds. If your an experienced groundsman that would be awesome! If have carpentry skills your in demand, we have a kids play area to build!!!
As I said we're a new business and still in the setting up stages, so there are always a million things to do, but don't worry we only expect 4hrs a day in return for your accommodation.

We are able to offer one of these containers as accommodation for a couple to stay in, or you can bring your Campervan and stay on a powered site.
