Hi everyone my name is David, and I live at in Mount Warning Caldera in Northern NSW. The closest town is Murwillumbah, which is approx a 30 min drive away.

I designed and built my property back in the early 80’s. There are 9 other properties out here, but we all have a lot of space as we are on 450 acres of land. The house sits on a ridge, with views of the Springbrook Plateau, and is surrounded by lush rainforest.

It is an area of high bio-diversity with rainforest, waterfalls, rivers & many different types of wildlife, which is all easily accessible. You may encounter wallabies, lizards, snakes and numerous bird life

I have done a lot of traveling over the years, am passionate about music and love to have a jam with my friends, and practice Tai-Chi daily. I enjoy good food, and my diet is mainly vegetarian, and i have my own veggie patch.

I am looking for help with gardening, planting trees, weeding, mulching, making compost, some help with cleaning would be gr... more inside

GROWING FOOD - BUILDING HABITAT - REWILDING

Educating and investing in the good

We live in the rainforest hinterland behind Byron Bay. The nearest town is Mullumbimby 20 minutes away, Byron is another 15 minutes from there.

We are developing an edible forest garden on a permaculture design and returning the rest of the land to rainforest. We have a large variety of native flora and fauna. Native birds, lizards, bees, frogs, wallabies and micro-bats thrive here. There are two ponds that sometimes have platypus living in them, and blue fresh water crayfish (not for eating). We have one flow hive for low stress honey collection from European bees.

We are not aiming to be self-sufficient in food, rather to have an abundant food supply, which we supplement from the markets.

WHAT DRIVES US
Love. People. Increasing bio-diversity on this wondrous piece of land. Doing positive stuff for the planet. We allow our minds to wander and think outside the box. This place supports w... more inside

We live on a beautiful and very peaceful farm in Arcadia which is one hour north of the Sydney CBD. We are at the end of a quiet street and surrounded by national park. There isn't a neighbour in sight! There are lots of beautiful walking and riding trails right outside our gate, yet the shops are just 15 minutes away. Train stations are 30 minutes away so the city and beaches are very accessible.

Our workers and volunteers have free use of a great little Toyota Yaris so they can explore the local area, go shopping, get to the train stations and do lots of fun things on days off. They also have free wifi and I pay for all of their groceries.

I (Amanda) have a horse business. I give lessons and train horses for dressage and show jumping. I also try to go to competitions as often as possible. We usually have between 18 and 25 horses here so it's all pretty busy.

My husband Brett is a builder and he tries to work as locally as possible. He also has a long list of jo... more inside

Not looking for helpers just now as we have just hosted for 3 months.

I am an architect and live in a house with a small garden and pool with my young son and Juno the dog! At times I need some help with house work, cooking, gardening, walking the dog house maintenance etc.

We are a short walk to fantastic Manly beach and harbour and easily accessible to public transport. Great location for surfing, snorkeling, bush walking and cafe lifestyle. You would have your own room with a verandah and bathroom.

Helpers will need to be non smoking, enjoy healthy lifestyle and be fairly independent.

Hello everybody,
Bonjour français welcomed!

We are a young family of 4 living in a 3 bedroom house. We live on the Northern Beached in beautiful Pittwater on an island in 1 of the 3 harbours of Sydney, so boat access only!!!
It is a beautiful place, with a very close knit community and very different from most places you've been to!
Not easy every day but I guess that is also what brought us here!
We really like to meet new people and to share our simple lifestyle.

We have a few jobs that may be required so depending if you are a single person or a couple and depending of what is needing we might change things around.

*We also have a boat and have things to take care of so if you know about boat/Yacht send us a message!

We are in the process of building (not there yet) so things to do with preparing the built or carrying building materials can be things on the job list.
But we would love to get some help around the house cleaning and the garden, we have a soon to... more inside

Hello there! We're a young (30 & 27) couple living in Sydney with our 6-month old baby. Joel is Australian, French, German, and American and Becka is Canadian and American. We love practicing our French and German with friends, but few speak the languages!

We have a spare guest bedroom for family to use when visiting and we'd love to have someone stay in the room and help with our home life.

Some of the things we love are books, volleyball, tennis, theatre, horse riding, board games, and much more!

We're on a beautiful leafy street extremely close (walking distance) to:
* Lane Cove village with cafes, outdoor dining, shops, gym, pool, etc. (we think it's the best little village suburb in Sydney!)
* Buses that take only 12 minutes to get into Sydney city
* Bush walking trails
* Parks

The primary job is babysitting, so you *MUST* have experience taking care of babies under 1 year old.

Other things that you would do are cleaning... more inside

Hello!

This Sydney Suburb homestay experience is in exchange for assistance cleaning out an attic and reorganizing it. The attic is 4m x 6m, so not so large. It's getting things up and down the attic ladder which I don't like doing. The length is 5 nights stay.

My place is in the suburbs of Sydney, with a lovely garden. The access to transport to the city is via Pennant Hills station (40mins to the city) or the bus stop is 5 minutes walk (35mins to the city).

I am a fun, older lady who lives solo, I'm happy for you to be free to do your thing, you will have a private room and TV. I will also offer breakfast and dinner also. The photo is of me (Jeanette) and my daughter (Drew), she is the contact on this project.

A suitable person for this job, would likely have a positive attitude, be relatively fit and strong, speak English. An added bonus would be a naturally organised person.

I'm happy to discuss if we did the project in one go, or if you prefer to do some hour... more inside

Need some help maintaining our beachside property for July and August. Involves light duties such as Gardening and painting, carpentry- handy man skills would be a plus. The house is a short work to the beach and Merimbula town. 4 hours work per day and all meals and accommodation provided. The house is spacious and you would have your own bedroom with terrace.
