We operate as a privately run wildlife sanctuary. We are feral fenced and have many endangered species, several of which are extinct on the mainland. These include Bandicoots, Woylies, Bettongs, Tammar, Swamp and Red-Necked Wallabies, Quolls, Bilbies, and Platypus who all roam freely over our property and also our neighbours, a total of 11 hectares. We volunteer with the Native animal Network and are continually hand raising orphaned Joeys. We also operate our own Platypus viewing business, Platypus Eco Tours, check out our web site for more info.
Come and enjoy our little piece of paradise with our welcoming family. Either email or call us to make arrangements. Looking forward to meeting you soon. Mel:)

Currently seeking helpers for spring gardening and general land-care.

Our 20 acre heritage-listed bush block borders on the beautiful Onkaparinga River (great for swimming!) in the Adelaide Hills, & is home to lots of kangaroos, koalas, birds, etc. We have beehives, chickens, vegetable gardens & an orchard. We live in an owner-built sustainable strawbale house with solar power & rainwater. Accommodation is initially in caravans nestled amongst the bush, with longer-term options of a tipi, or a very cute hut! We eat wholesome organic vegetarian food, and are happy for helpers to share the cooking. We have broadband internet, and all the basic facilities, but live a very simple life. I'm a 45yo migration agent and owner builder passionate about sustainability, spiritual growth, and learning about different cultures. My two young boys live with me part-time. Can pick up from Aldgate, etc.

We are a small farm producing Australian native flowers for the cut flower market. At present we are expanding our home vegetable production. We have a bright and airy one bedroom cottage available as accommodation. The cottage is not near our house so you will need to be independent and happy to look after yourself and have your own transport. Helping includes: planting, pruning, harvesting, fencing, construction, processing the flowers, weeding, watering, feeding small amount of stock, and other general farm duties.
Accommodation, wholesome ingredients for you to cook your own food, in exchange for 6 hours help 3 days a week.
The farm is secluded and quiet. We have dogs, cats, and pet alpacas, dairy goats and are developing the garden. Native wildlife abounds - wallabies, echidnas, emus...
Within easy driving distance are lovely beaches, the famous wine region of Coonawarra, and the fabulous bush trekking Grampian's region.
If you like a variety of farm experiences and want ... more inside

We are a family of 3. Husband, Kane is 31 and is a high functioning autistic and works from home in his own business, Wife, Rachel is 33 and is a social worker and works in her own business from home, daughter Lily 4.

We are looking for someone who can help out with Lily - take her to the playground, play with her and help at bedtime as Rachel works fulltime (sometimes late) tidying Lily's room, putting her clothes away and help a little out around the house esp cooking as Kane cannot do everything on his own at home, possibly help with a food shop dependent on what Kane feels he can do.

There is no doubt Kane would probably prefer someone who keeps to themself, he will chat though if he feels comfortable, someone who will not judge him and has understand adult autism would be fantastic and who is willing to learn about why/how he does things as he struggles with social understandings and everyday experiences/situations sometimes.

Kane is a musician as well, he is very tec... more inside

We are a small property in the Flinders Ranges running cattle and horses, and also have a small tourist operation with a B&B, camp sites and mountain hut on the Heysen Trail.
We are looking for some help with odd jobs around the property which include general maintenance jobs such as fencing, building and some house jobs. We have caravan accommodation for 1 or 2 people available, so you can have you own private space when you like. We are excited to meet new helpx travellers and hear about their interesting lives and travels. We get good mobile phone and internet coverage. Your own vehicle is not essential (but may be useful as we are 15 k's from nearest town).

Take a side step off the normal tourist track and live with an Australian family on Australian farm.

We need a person or two to help with odd jobs around the house and garden.

We are a young family who are easy to get along with, love mixing with other people, and love a laugh.
We are keen to help you develop new and exciting skills while having some fun.
The work will not be too hard and we don't expect anyone to work in the heat of the day.

Mostly the work will consist of helping to do gardening, mow the lawns, do odd maintainence jobs in exchange for homecooked meals and really comfortable accomodation.

We have a large house you would be able to have a large space to yourself to chill out after work or feel free to have a swim in the pool or a stroll on the property in the afternoons.
You may only have the hammock if I'm not in it already.

We have a happy doggie, an annoying cat and some chickens.

We live about 1-1/2 hours from some amazing beaches, 1... more inside

We are always seeking volunteers to help us on our farm!

We are located 20 minutes outside of Adelaide in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. We grow chemical free, humanely raised lamb and chicken, olives, wine grapes, walnuts, figs and various other fruit and veg. Volunteers live in our home and share our excellent meals. Winter tasks are mostly animal care- feeding and milking goats, feeding and maintaining housing of chickens, moving sheep to fresh pasture. Spring there is pruning in the vineyard and sometimes bottle feeding baby goats and lambs, and looking after chicks. Autumn is harvest, winemaking, cider making. Veggie garden care, cheese making and sourdough bread making all year round. French/english speaking home. We also speak some Spanish. 5 days on, 2 days off, and we can help with transport to Adelaide city or other attractions nearby on days off. Must love animals and good food! : ) Our farmstead best suits a couple or single person, as we have just one guest ... more inside
