Vacancies from 18th December onwards. Come and share the Christmas preparations and parties!
I am a semi retired teacher with a love of the countryside, my animals, wildlife, cycling, art, music and dancing. I have a small grassland holding for my 4 horses. Beautiful cottage and annexe with pretty garden. Walking distance to the sea (if the tide's in!). 7 miles from Boston, a small market town and 20 miles from Skegness, a popular seaside resort. There are buses to these towns, but it's quite a long walk to the bus stop. ((We really are very rural). Our nearest train station is in Boston, which can be reached via either Grantham or Peterborough from most towns with nearby airports.
Help needed with grassland management, horse care and gardening, domestic and DIY tasks in exchange for accommodation and meals.
Lovely flat fenland countryside walks, bird watching, cycling and possibly horse riding. Flexible hours of work and expectations of cheerful company!

Hello everyone, we are 2 ex-wwoofers with an 16 year old daughter on a non commercial 2 acre holding situated on the English/Welsh border. Secluded but not isolated. Bordered by SSSI.(Site of special scientific interest) hay meadow nature reserve with unspoilt views to the Breidden Hills. Sheep raised humanely for meat and chickens for eggs. Three friendly cats. Aim to produce our own vegetables in raised bed garden. Home made cider a speciality. Sorry we can no longer cater for vegetarians or vegans. Work, about 5-6 hours a day 5 days a week but this varies according to season, weather and priorities but is hopefully varied and instructive. Renovating cottage at present but warm simple, comfortable room available in our mobile home. Other interests include walking, mountaineering, climbing, ski-ing canoeing/kayaking and gliding. Long term helpers welcome to join in with these (at their own expense/risk)! Warm friendly family atmosphere so adaptability, sociability and a sens... more inside

We are a family of four, with two boys, aged almost 3 and a 7 week old baby. We are quite easy going people, and enjoy the quiet life. We look forward to meeting and experiencing people from other cultures. Holly is English, Andy is Australian. We are happy to help people learning English.

We live in a mobile home in a small community not far from Glastonbury (~10 miles), in the countryside. We are keen gardeners, and have an allotment nearby. We are a vegan household, and love cooking and sharing food.

We have been helpx volunteers several times around the world and are keen to get some help ourselves!

Help needed might include chopping wood, gardening at home and the allotment, painting (inside), cleaning, coming, child care... Plenty of odd jobs to do, things to build, things to mend. We would expect around 4 hours work a day, with 2 days off a week. 3 meals a day.

Accommodation is in 'the West Wing', your own mobile home which is currently under renovation (another ... more inside

Volunteering in a seaside hotel.

Please note: following the internal rules, including those of mutual respect and consideration for all, are a real "must". To avoid disappointment, please do not apply if you can not follow them.

DO apply if you are enthusiastic, motivated and trustworthy, and love to overcome a challenge - you have an opportunity to grow and gain new skills (see multiple reviews below :)
Do NOT apply: if you are lazy, irresponsible, dishonest, do not keep your own word and are likely to put your work on someone else. You will not succeed - and you are likely to lose your place (see certain reviews below)

Would you like to join us in a friendly seaside hotel on the Promenade in Blackpool?
This is the place where the charm of the Victorian hotel meets the enthusiasm and the young spirit of an international traveller, where one can start a career as a general assistant manager, a chef, a designer, a builder, a barmaid/barman, etc. - and participate in reno... more inside

Hi Helpxers,

Below is an explanation of what I am looking for:

Help to run a VERY small guest-house: c.3 hours work per day per Helpxer (c.20 hours per week).

The above includes:

Checking guests in and out: Cleaning and preparing bedrooms. Keeping the kitchen, bathrooms and television lounge clean and tidy. Gardening and general maintenance in both the guest-house and at my nearby properties.

I also occasionally need help with weeding/cleaning at my rather derelict properties in north Wales, c.85 miles from Manchester.

At the moment I advertise rooms in Stretford, Manchester, on Airbnb and Sparerooms, and I need some help caring for the house and for my guests.

My home is c.2.5 miles from Manchester City Centre. We are close to 3 Metrolink stations and regular buses run to the city centre: A Day Ticket, offering unlimited travel around Greater Manchester on Stagecoach buses, costs 4.

Please do not send me a Helpx request more than 3 to 4 week... more inside

Our home an old, 19c red brick farmhouse near miles of coastal nature reserves. The area is popular with tourists who come to see the seals at Donna Nook in November & December. Great area for photography, walking, etc - beautiful coastline and countryside - VERY rural, farmland surrounds us.

Cloddygate Farm is NOT a working farm. We have a large organic garden with flower borders, veggie patch, herb garden, fruit trees and greenhouse.

We keep a few hens for the fantastic eggs and the 'girls' are great fun too!

We usually like short term helpers(2 - 4 weeks) working in the gardens, weeding, planting etc., sometimes helping around the house, cutting wood, cooking, preserving but it's difficult to know as we do projects as money allows but we'll try to make your stay as varied as possible.

We would also like help internal decorating/painting this year.

Expect to work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. In addition keeping your own room and your bathroom clean and tidy and ch... more inside

My husband, 3 year old daughter and I live on the edge of town on the grounds of a community called Osho Leela, a personal development centre with a strong community focus.

Even though we are part of the core community and work together with other community members that live here full time and volunteers that come to Osho Leela via the Community Experience Programme, we are looking for a person or a couple that can come and stay with us directly.

We would like to assemble a garden shed but would have to replace rotten pieces of wood with new ones and create a new wooden window frame before it can go up. The other job we are thinking of doing is building a storage room on the decking at the end of our pine cabin. So all wood related projects.

We would like you to work around 4 hours a day.

You have your own room to sleep in and WiFi access is freely available. Food will be cooked daily and you can choose what you would like to eat (within reason). If you fancy cooking yo... more inside

We are situated on 50 acres of Soil Association certified pasture and woodland, in an idyllic and central location in the South West of England. We have a small, 7-bedroomed hotel together with restaurant. We produce many of the ingredients used in the restaurant including pork, lamb, herbs, salad leaves and vegetables, so the tasks here are quite diverse. We also have 3 horses, which need looking after. We have a great deal of very interesting wildlife, including resident beavers, so if you are a keen photographer, you will be in heaven here. The food we offer is all homemade, mainly organic and quite delicious. We are looking one or two enthusiastic volunteers (couples welcome) to help us with the daily routine of looking after the hotel, estate and animals.

Coombeshead Estate is home to wildlife ponds, undulating pasture and woodland. Sheep and pigs are reared on the estate for meat. The extensive kitchen gardens provide herbs, apples, vegetables and currants for the r... more inside
