We welcome enquiries from helpers interested in coming to stay here with us in July or August, or later in 2017. We have a detached house with a large, steep garden, bordered by a stream & woodland. We are retired and need some help with the more physical work, so welcome helpers who are willing and able to cope with lots of steps and sometimes quite heavy tasks! We only take helpers for a week to 10 days maximum. We are horticulturally qualified and happy to share our skills. If the weather is too wet to work in the garden, then we expect helpers to be flexible & help with work in the house. Rural situation but within walking distance of University, Arts Centre & town of Aberystwyth on West Coast of Wales. Bus & rail links to other areas of outstanding natural beauty in Wales. We offer a comfortable, double bedroom with ensuite WC, WiFi, and use of a sitting room for the evenings, plus tasty vegetarian/vegan meals in return for average of 4 hours work a day. NON SMOKING. A beautiful farm that overlooks the sea in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is only 5 minutes from a rocky beach and a coast popular with walkers and surfers.

It is relatively remote, but there is a pub within 2 miles, a daily bus service (in summer) to local towns and the village-sized city of St Davids is 5 miles away. Volunteers must be prepared to be fairly isolated most of the time.
Volunteers are very welcome to work on the farm helping to grow the vegetables and sharing in any other social or educational events that occur. The work is physical and can be tough. It is almost all outside (although we do have polytunnels) and the weather here can be wild even in summer. Volunteers should be prepared for working outside in all types of weather and although it can get very wet, don’t be put off as the farm is set in a beautiful location and it can also get very hot!

Your accommodation will be in a building with kitchen downstairs and bunk beds upstairs, sometime... more inside

An organic project in a stunning location, in Snowdonia.

In summer, we need help maintaining the woodland we planted in 1996, clearing bracken and bramble, doing sustainable construction projects and generally caring for veg plots and the land.
We will work together for 2-3 hours a day, depends what we are up to really, if it's a fun project we may work longer. Most days have a mix of weather so there is no need to work in the rain or extreme heat and the beach is nearby.
There is a tiny straw bale house on the land and a caravan. A camping trailer or tent is available for guests.
Would suit an individual, a couple or small family who are happy with very basic camping facilities. It may suit weekenders. You will need to provide your own food. Water is plentiful from a private supply for washing, etc. but is not treated for drinking. We boil ours but are installing filters soon.
Public transport (bus and train) is within 1 mile and we are on sustrans route 8.

We live on a (small) smallholding in a rural location in North Wales, on the edge of Snowdonia. The setting is delightful and secluded, yet the nearest town is only 4 miles down the road, while the North Wales coast and mainline train station are 18 miles away. Walking, climbing & cycling opportunities, as well the many attractions of Snowdonia & the Coast are only a short drive away.

Our animals (dogs, cats, chickens, bees, rare-breed sheep & pigs, donkeys) rule the place and our lives, so this is for animal lovers only!
Our land is mainly pasture in two fields adjacent to the house, with a large garden with orchard & veg beds. There is also a working music studio on site which my partner runs.

We are currently have availability to host from mid June to end of July, potentially into August. (it could be someone staying for the entire period, or several shorter stays).

We are are quite new to smallholding life so we are specifically looking for people who already have rel... more inside

I am 67 and own 2 cottages in a lovely South facing wooded valley. I am 15 miles from the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast Path and near the National Park. I live on my own.
I grow my own fruit and vegetables organically. I usually have a good crops of strawberries, grapes and peaches from my polytunnel. My tenant, who lives in the cottage next door, would also welcome some help in the house and garden and helping look after her 9 year old daughter.

I'm a qualified yoga teacher. I am active in the local Friends of the Earth group. I am very busy working to establish a cohousing community in this area where I hope to move to in the next few years.I want help lime washing my cottage inside and out. Replacing guttering and lots of work in the garden.

This is a wonderful area for walking with well sign posted paths along the hills and valleys.
The first ecovillage in the UK is near here.
I'm mainly vegetarian, but can source meat/ fish locally

My name is Teresa and I own and run Treseissyllt Farm in Pembrokeshire. I grew up in Wales and after university, lived and worked in London for a number of years. During that time I travelled extensively to many parts of the world. I returned to Wales to renovate the farm ten years ago.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please do email me.

THE AREA
The farm is situated in the amazing PEMBROKESHIRE COAST NATIONAL PARK between Fishguard and the cathedral city of St. Davids.
There is direct access by private track to the beach, cliffs and the world-famous coastal path. Fishguard is the nearest place for shopping, cinema, cafes etc., and there are good bus and train connections to other parts of Wales and the UK.

There are many local activities which include hiking, surfing, kayaking, music, castles and ruins to name but a few.

I am looking for volunteers as soon as possible thank you, mainly gardening but also some general maintenance and for some help in the B&B. I take people 1 or 2 people for 2 week periods and look forward to hearing from you if you are free.
My mother and I both live at Morfa Isaf, a coastal farm in a beautiful secluded part of west Wales. The Ceredigion footpath runs through our farm leading to the most glorious private beach. The views and serenity here have to be witnessed.
We have cows on the premises for many months of the year but rent the land out so have nothing to do with the running of the place.
My mother has gone into retirement leaving me to run the bed and breakfast throughout the year and although we rent the land out, there is still a wealth to do around the farm which must be done by us, general maintenance, a lot of gardening, painting sometimes in the house during quiet months.

I now want to focus my time on finishing off a 3 year college course and als... more inside
