We are a Danish/Australian couple (39 and 42) with two children (7 and 10) living on an alternative community in Djursland, about 35kms northeast of Aarhus. We are self-employed, hosting various workshops about sustainability, permaculture, building masonary heaters, translating, cooking among other things.

We don't have a large property and are looking for help in the permaculture-inspired garden and with some building stuff, as well as some seasonal things like making jam and preserves.
Sometimes we also need help during the courses with food preparation and child-minding.

We prefer stays of at least one week and are open to long-term stays. Helpers have their own little garden cottage, room in the house, or tent (depending on numbers) and we share organic vegetarian (some fish) meals. Sorry, but we don't do raw food (prefer local).

We are interested in a cultural as well as labour exchange. We enjoy learning about different countries and languages.

We have a lot of... more inside

We are an international center for ceramic art, nature, and organic living. You can help us in the studio, cafe, garden, or with renovating and restoring our inn! We have a working ceramic studio, woodfired kilns, organic garden, cafe, and seven bed and breakfast rooms, across from the train station in the middle of one of the largest hardwood forests in northern Denmark. Janne and Gregory are professional ceramic artists with our studio in our large old inn from 1897, which we will be working on renovating and restoring through summer 2017. Volunteers spend time helping with establishing and maintaining different facilities here. Work varies by season, with outdoor activities, B&B, and cafe during the warmer months, and indoor renovation during the winter. The ceramic studio and gallery are open year round. We are specifically interested in persons with building/construction, graphic, and marketing experience, especially those with experience directing and leading others. We ask... more inside

I/We have build an interesting and cosy home place, with the shape as a Conch.

It is situated in a eco-village with houses in all shapes and materials. We skatter biodiverse solutions and I have Permaculture certificate.

I (Poula 41), am a spiritual, very practical eco pirate. I am seeking help with with different things, at the moment I invite people, who can help with berrie piccing and woodchopping/stackking, cleaning plus a bit of gardening.
If you have electrical woodtoolsexperience - shelf making.

I prefer stays over one week. The Conch is a comune place for me and Ronja (29) and my son hos a bright
happy 1 year old, who runs around, play guitar, nows a lot of words and can do a high five ;) Ronja is a cool pirate conch sister, whos quite spiritual and musical to.

There is fjordbeaches close - 3,5 km away, I enjoy humor and playfulness.

We have a library with books about sustainable building, and music instruments.

If there are no more that 3 helpers, w... more inside

Come along friends!
With the chance to visit our magical site, at the true heart of the Danish country.
We are a family of four, welcoming you with our hearts open.
A year ago we moved in at the foot of an old castle, where a small village of about 30 people have rised on the good will of the castle-owner, who himself studied and lived to bring peace in the World.
Now the castle is left abandoned and the village is Living on as an eco-village.
We, Maia 24, Jon 31 and boys, milo and bali (3y and six months) have a vision to enrichen this diamond-on-earth with a home-restaurant/chillout-meeting place, based on as much homegrown food and cosmic energy as it will be us granted, through the assistance of the friends we will make on the way there.
Come please!
- we are halfway through building the place, but still lots to do... A true naver is coming, by the begining of august, hopefully accompanied by more, to take the building to the next step. Therefore this is momentarely what... more inside

We are living in an eco-village in a little strawbale cottage.

This year we are looking for helpers with carpenter experience and help with the garden.

The house we are building is a tiny family house, built with natural materials and will be very low energy.

The garden is berries, fruit, greenhouse vegies and hens.

The area we live in is a national park with forrests, lakes, sea... We have extra bikes :-)

I need help in the house, some cleaning, painting and garden. I will be happy to take helpers some weeks from august to end of october.
During the day time I will be at work so you must be able to entertain yourself. Some days we will work together and some days you will work alone.

Helligpeder is in the country, it is 2km to the nearest shop and 10km to the nearest town. The surrounding area is very beautiful and provides a lot of opportunities for biking and walking. Looking forward to meeting you, kind regards Melisa

About us
We are a relatively small Teacher training college with an idea to make a difference in the world with progressive ways of learning. Passionate people from many different countries are gathered to become teachers, striving to create a better future. In our school, we have activities like sports, music and arts, once a week a cozy evening with a specific activity or games. There is also a possibility to help in our organic garden. At the end of august, we will also have an International camp where people from different nationalities would gather to spend time together. We want to make a difference in the world so we do a lot of things together. Because we believe that "Alone the world changes you, Together we change the world".

Looking for...
We are looking for people who could help with the promotion of our teacher training program. Ways to do it can be diverse, some examples could be - networking, helping out with our website, putting up adds, making posters or other... more inside

We are a small alternative school community based in Lindersvold, Denmark with a integration and inclusion concept that consists of 2 departments.

1) This is a (non-profit) school training young people for international development work in Africa and India.
2) Care Home and Day School – places for young adults and teenagers with special needs. Some of them have learning difficulties, ADHD or lack social skills.

This mixed group makes for a lively bunch. We love our place and always work on improvements. Most people live at the school campus and this makes it our home and not just a working place. We have evening programs to add to the atmosphere at our school. We have a strict NO alcohol and NO drug policy – and this is a very essential part of our lifestyle at the school.

There are 3 main areas were we really need some help:
1. We need help with online outreach, some computer work in connection to our place.
2. Help at the institution kitchen to help the chef cook lunc... more inside

To You, The Aimless Nomad.

You have found haven, you have found Store Okseoe.

Reaching from beneath the seas off the southernmost coast of Denmark is an island, the larger of a pair, where there is an experience to be had, if you’ll have it.

Marked by wind-scarred cliffs, beaches of pebbled sand, and forsaken sunken ships, Store Okseoe is the preferred local retreat from the modern hustle of northern German society. Here, dreary car horns are traded for gull crows, and the 'neccesary' liter of gasoline is passed up for the neccesary pint of Danish beer.

By day, the residents of this protected nature reserve work hard for a standard 30 hours a week at keeping visitors’ hunger fed, and thirst quenched, but this is not to say that resturaunt work is the only kind offerered here on the island. Farmwork, landscaping, and shipbuilding are year rou... more inside

We live in a beautiful area near forest and fjord.
Run a farm with Icelandic horses, do tourist riding, riding camps and so forth.
Run the farm and forest, efficient and nontraditional. Grow our own vegetables.
Have a clinic where I treat 'man & beast' with different alternative treatments.
My husband & son run a bricklaying company.

We accept wwoofers, helpers, back packers and whoever else wants to give a hand for food and accommodation.

Work here is kind of everything.
From house hold to stable help, gardening, farming, foresting or building etc.
Most common are cleaning, tidying up, painting, cooking, saddling, foresting, weeding plus a lot of other things.

We mostly prefer one person at the time or at least small groups, that makes it easier to get to know one another.
And you have to be reasonable independent, responsible and able to work on your own, we are busy people here.

Please take contact by e-mail!
