I live in a house in the Beaujolais, cherry orchards, vines, horses in the field opposite - it's very peaceful here.
There are buses every half hour to Lyon 25km, to Villefranche-sur-Saône 13km. The area is very beautiful, and I can show you around, meet some local people and see what you you might not see otherwise.

I can host short-term in exhange for some practical help around the house and garden, and perhaps other odd jobs like painting.

I'm English, speak fluent French and a bit of Spanish and Italian. A mother of three and a grandmother, I try to keep up with modern ideas - even technology etc!

I have set foot in all the continents, spending more time in some than others. I'm 'international',and enjoy meeting people wherever they're from.

I believe that the idea of HelpX is great, it can help build relationships across and around the world, if everyone contributes in that same light...And I do my bit as best I can!

Please don't hesitate to get in touch, I loo... more inside

Welcome to our animal park in SW France. Looking for a last minute summer tan in the sunny South of France? We have space currently for someone / or two friends to help with winter preperations. Stacking wood in the wood shed, clearing hedging and the vegetable patch, helping clean out when the park is open, and generally mucking in with everyday jobs.

The work is pretty heavy so would suit someone fit and strong at a minimum able to carry a 25 kilo bag of animal feed.
You will have your own bedrooms, in the cottage attached to the house with bathroom / shower, use of washing machine and all meals prepared for you.

Sorry but we cannot take families, couples or children either.

A very warm welcome awaits in a unique setting of the House of Camels, in the grounds of what used to be a former monastery but is now an animal park. We live in an 8 bed-roomed farm house an hour north of the Pyrenees,

We've been hosting helpers now for well over 9 years, and are always happy to... more inside

Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. In return for cleaning out stalls and feeding horses (and the odd other job), we offer room and board, we include you in family activities and you have the possibility to improve your riding skills in western riding (cow work and reining) in our 30 x 60 m arena and - how about -learning some line dancing!! A bicycle is available, if you want to explore the near surroundings. We are located close to Switzerland, it's about a 15 minutes car ride to Basle, and also only about 20 minutes to Germany. Our area is a great tourist region.
If you are mature, fit and self-motivated, willing to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks, experienced with handling horses, we would be happy to hear from you!

Hello everyone,

We are located in Trémel in Côtes d'Armor, in the middle of nowhere. Our closest neighbors are a herd of cows !!! But we have a lot of visits, especially in the summer, between HelpX, trainees, scouts, friends, etc ...

Five years ago, I decided to live the society as I conceived it, instead of constantly criticizing it. So I left my previous job and bought the farm where I currently live. Since then, I have set up solidarity projects:
2015: ? Establishment of the Grouped Habitat Tifolk
? Participation in the Swiss Association "Pumpipumpe" (network of neighbors sharing)
? Establishment of a "Insects Edible" (since in "stand by" since it does not comply with French legislation
? Beginning of the project "Renovation of the studio"
2016: ? Setting up a food garden, a shared garden and a self-service garden (Les Incroyables Edibles)
? Creation of a new drink based on Ginger concentrate
? My first beekeeping, with the acquisition of a hive (to start). We use t... more inside
