Picturesque small property with trees and pasture. We have a small flock of chickens, cat, dog and garden. We are not registered for organic status but follow the principles. We want to eat healthy food and grow as much as we can. Looking for help to establish and maintain garden and basic property maintenance. Building skills would be great if you have any as we are looking to expand the chicken run. Looking for 25 hours per week in exchange for food and board.
We are located not far from the Great Ocean Road and only 5 minutes from Warrnambool, a very convenient position. We are both easy going people who enjoy conversation and connecting with others.
Thank you for reading and considering helping us build a great self sufficient small property.

I'm currently renovating a cute little beach house, approximately 2 hours east of Melbourne. Located at Venus Bay. The Venus Bay coastline stretches from the sandy barrier of Point Smythe and Andersons Inlet to the strikingly beautiful scenery of Cape Liptrap Coastal Park. Theres fishing, surfing, body boarding, kayaking, and all the usual beach-side activities to do.

Anyway, I have a beachside house, and seek assistance from a person (or two) to help build a deck, and clad the outside of the house in corrugated iron.

ideally, i'm just looking for another dude to help me... (some of the work requires an extra pair of hands) but couples are welcome.

each day, we'd do about six hours of work, and i'd provide food, beer and accommodation. building the deck will take a few days. and the cladding another couple of days. after those are done, you can stay on by yourselves for another couple of weeks for nothing.

so do a week's worth of work, and stay for a couple of weeks extr... more inside

Our house is located at the foot of Mt Dandenong in the Yarra Ranges, an area that is surrounded by beautiful national parks. An absolutely beautiful area to visit, plenty to do for travellers and back packers.

45minute drive from Melbourne City or 1 hour on the train.

Local fruit picking and farm work is also close by in the local farming regions.

We are a friendly and welcoming married couple, no pets or children living with us. We have a large home on a big block that we are slowly preparing for sale. So, we require enthusiastic helpxers, who are keen to pitch in.

Our home is clean and comfortable. We have free wifi available and excellent mobile/cell phone service. You will have a private bedroom and bathroom. But, as we won’t always be around and we lead very busy lives, we won’t always be available to prepare meals for you, however we will pay for and provide food for you to cook with.

We will be grateful for helpers' assistance with general yard-work and house ... more inside
