Small farm situated in the rain forest in the hills above Cairns. We grow - hydroponically - and pack culinary herbs for the Supermarkets. We need help all year round ie harvesting, weeding, clearing, maintenance. We can accomodate no more than two helpers at a time. Accommodation is in a fully self contained and equipped caravan (TV & DVD player provided) for which we will provide groceries; on occasion you will be invited to join us for meals - however we do need down time!

Working hours are generally from 7.00 am to 12pm Monday to Friday, with the rest of the week yours to do as you will.

The property is 1.5km from the tourist village of Kuranda, and a 30 min, $5 bus trip from Cairns.

We can pick you up and drop you off in the village most days.

No special diets are catered for.

If interested in helping us, please email detailing length of planned stay and tentative arrival; if we can accommodate, we'll send you some additional info. as to what to expect!

We are looking for a couple of people for May/June to assist on our property at Coowonga near Rockhampton.
We run a miniature horse and miniature goat stud and hold regular tours and an annual open day. We are in need of assistance with a variety of jobs from now up until the end of June.
The main tasks would be feeding animals, cleaning stables and water troughs, milking the odd goat, washing and grooming animals and light cleaning duties. In the paddock there is stick picking and spraying of lantana, whipper snipping, mowing and gardening. Leading up to our open day in July there will be a lot of activity here with training of animals and preparation.
We have a donga available for accommodation with power, hot water, 2 bedrooms, TV, small kitchen, shower, toilet etc.
Within our farmstay program, we also have caravan sites available for caretakers and travellers. Sites have power and water available and donga amenities are available to caravanners if required.
