Hello :)

We are a couple with a 1 year old, just moved into a quiet house with beautiful views in the Cotswolds. We are 5 minute walk from town, and on the edge of beautiful walks known as "the heavens".

We have a small permaculture project going on in the house and garden, building a solar heated water system, wood burner, straw bale shed with living roof, and then renovation work like lime plaster, decorating, carpentry and garden work, all while trying to look after Athene, our daughter.

We have a spare room which is clean and freshly decorated with a double mattress on the floor which 1/2 people could stay in. People with skills or particular interest in permaculture, or those just willing to muck in and help in any way they can very welcome. All in return for lovely organic food and a room with a great view.

Look forward to hearing from you,
Lucy & Sid x

We have a large family home, We run our business from the building at the back of the property. We have an indoor pool (where we have swimming lessons), Power plate studio & Nutrition clinic.

We also have 5 dogs that are very gentle & friendly & a cat. We have one 16 year old son still living at home. We would require some help with general household duties, dog walking, garden duties (although mainly paved) & general maintenance & upkeep. Basically just some assistance with the day to day running of the family home & business. Anyone who is qualified in homoeopathic treatments or such like, there is also possibly the opportunity to use our Summer House for these, as I plan to turn this into a treatment room. I am also looking at expanding the business both here & Overseas, so anyone with an interest in either health, weight-loss, fitness etc there is plenty for you to assist with or get involved with or for anyone who is experienced with web site marketing, social media mark... more inside

Hi, we are a family run Bed And Breakfast and campsite. We are very busy during the summer months and would love someone to come and help us with the general cleaning, room changes, mowing the fields etc. We also have a lot of other work that can also be done like painting and carpentry, don't worry if you can't do this bit!

We can offer a cosy 3 man tent or you can stay in our vintage caravan and use of the new camping facilities, and all of your meals of course! We are situated just outside historic Rye and very close to the sandy beaches of Camber Sands. There is a bus stop outside our property or a scenic walk through the fields to the town! We have 2 children and 2 very friendly dogs also so you would need to like dogs. If you are interested to help for a few weeks please get in touch. Have a look at our website for more info!

Hello Helpers

(WE ARE NOW FULLY BOOKED FOR THIS SUMMER, SO CAN NOT OFFER ANY PLACES TO HELPERS UNTIL NEXT SUMMER)

We are an alternative, rural, off grid housing co-op/community made up of 20 adults, 7 children and a few chickens.
We have 2 areas for growing fruit and veg, a herb garden, a polytunnel and large greenhouse, so help is always appreciated in the gardens and with other jobs going on at the time.
We would ask our helpers to work for around 5 hours a day-5 days a week, but we're flexible on this. We can only offer helpers a stay of two weeks.
We have a bedroom for helpers and there is use of the communal kitchen, bathroom, living room, poolroom and compost toilets.
The facilities here are quite basic, and the internet connection is slow.
We provide vegeterian/vegan meals only, but meat can be eaten.I can collect you from the bus or train station and look forward to meeting our first HelpX helpers.
( I have recently been a HelpX helper in Australia)

Our garden is used to illustrate good design and plantmanship to students who attend our garden design courses held in a sedum roofed pavilion in the garden. Thus we are looking for a single person or a couple who are keen GARDENERS to learn and work with plants and happy to help plant, maintain and label the flower garden and water the small plant nursery and help in the organic vegetable garden too. We are keen to get help from February through to September if possible and happy if people can stay 1, 2 or 3 weeks only or longer if you like us!!. We have started a new Bed and Breakfast in April so would like help with that too. We have chickens, 2cats and a dog. Although small the garden is veryy high maintenance and packed with unusual plants but with quirky design elements including several sculptures. The garden is open every Friday from Easter til the end of September and for charity 2 times during the summer. Please look at our website for pictures of the garden.

This is a very old farmhouse with large outbuildings on half a hectare of garden, trees and rough pasture, on a hillside in rural Herefordshire - one of the most beautiful and unspoiled parts of England. It's not a farm and no farm work is required - there are no animals here other than my 2 cats Zippy and Zaney! I do try to grow vegetables but the weeds often win. It is very peaceful and quiet with beautiful views towards the Welsh mountains - if you like walking or cycling or photography this is a great place. I and my family have been living here for many years but now I'm on my own and there's a lot to do, so help is needed with maintaining and improving the trees, hedges, fences, lawn, pasture, vegetable garden and compost; also with clearing space in the outbuildings and re-organising these; and with some small-scale building work and renovation. There is a workshop available with tools and machinery as I was previously a furniture-maker. Now I work as an environmentalist, so ... more inside
