Hello helpers,

We are two young families who are beginning a business together. We will be growing vegetables and fruit to supply to a very busy hotel. We aim to marry permaculture with a commercial business. Our ethos is organic and being kind to the earth and yet we need to make a living to support our young children.

Currently we are at the set up stages and so will be needing lots of help with projects such as fencing, putting up polytunnels, planning, stone wall building. We really need strong capable hands to help with this stage and thinkers to help us generate permaculture ideas. Experience in horticulture or in any of the above activities is important.

In exchange we will share our lovely cosy home, meals, banter and knowledge with you. We have one room (can sleep a couple or 2 friends), with your own kitchenette (basic facilities) and bathroom. Vegetarian meals provided and no smoking premises.

We have ourselves been wwoofers in the past and want to provide o... more inside

The farm is surrounded by bog land in the Bann valley. The river is 3 miles away.

We have 9 cows, 3 calves, chickens, a big dog named Bruce, a pup named Charlie and a strange cat.

We recently completed a polytunnel made out of broken trampolines, an underground greenhouse and a natural pond. We have lots of veg in the ground, a small orchard, a woodland and lots of wild foods to forage.

This year we hope to grow enough produce to feed ourselves and to sell to the local community.

Accommodation will be in a large tent, using the house bathroom. We can provide sleeping bags and lots of extra blankets to keep your warm.

We always need help with; farm duties, permaculture gardening, woodland management, weeding, cutting firewood, sowing seeds, cooking, food preserving, seed saving, sea weed foraging on the beautiful north coast, wood carving and creating wood sculptures.

Current projects we need help with are:

building more polytunnels

We have availability right now for a few weeks.

Rural living family of 5 need help around the house to tidy the place up, building stone walls, gardening, painting, carpentry, boring housework etc. The mobile home in the photos would be your private accommodation, we live in the small cottage beside it. I will provide food for breakfasts and snacks in your mobile so you can have breakfast at your leisure and we will share lunch and an evening meal in the cottage. In exchange I would like 3-5 hours help doing whatever jobs need doing on a particular day. We are fairly easy going and flexible and if the weather is good we are likely to go to the beach instead.

Want to get away from the hustle and bustle to a peaceful and tranquil oasis? Located in the beautiful, picturesque countryside of North Mayo my cottage is surrounded by hills and trees with mountains and lakes nearby. It is an ideal place for walking/hiking or cycling or anyone who appreciates nature/wild countryside.

Ballina is the nearest town (6 miles) with plenty of shops, pubs etc. and as it is the Salmon fishing capital of Ireland there is lots of fishing. Enniscrone beach renowned for its surfing is 30 minutes drive away.

I need help in the general maintenance and upkeep of my house and garden. So any handy person with diy skills or enthusiasm for gardening would be very welcome. Also i have a dog and cats (outside) so anyone interested must be ok with animals.

Accommodation is a room in my cottage with self service catering and the occasional meal provided by me when I can.
