This farm was previously a care home, and most buildings have been converted into living spaces. We were in the process of creating a community, but that has been put on hold for now. At the moment we are two families here. We mostly need help with the garden. Both moving lawns, and keeping the hedges, bushes and trees in good shape, but also some help with establishing the vegetable garden. Cooking will be shared, sometimes communal, sometimes separate.
We can offer accommodation in our Farmhouse, which functions as holiday let. If the Farmhouse is fully booked we'll find a room in one of the other buildings. We are very rural, and about 45 min walk from nearest bus stop. It's essential that you like the countryside, and that you don't mind quiet, :)

Little gate farm is a training and skills development farm for learning disabled adults. Through the day to day running of the farm and managing of the woodland we teach practical employment skills, self confidence and team work.
Our program is non-residential and our learners come in via our minibus from neighbouring towns. We have a varied selection of animals. Sheep, pigs, goats, horses, alpacas, ducks, rabbits, chickens and geese. Our animals have a very high standard of living and their care and welfare is a high priority.we also have a large horticulture project, various craft making projects, and social enterprise activities.

We are looking for someone or a couple with an interest in care farming, and skills development, who can feed the animals in the mornings and evenings and help out on the farm.

The farm is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, half of which is ancient woodland. We managed the farm ecologically as a shared responsibility, and we have higher level... more inside

We are on the banks of the beautiful Helford River on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. We have a large garden where we need help to keep the brambles away and stop it turning into wilderness. And 8 hectares of forest garden and young walnut and chestnut trees that need weeding, mulching and loving, and planting of shelterbelts.
Also, we have a variety of barns and outbuildings that need various amounts of restoration/repair if anyone is interested.
There is self-contained accommodation with possibility to self-cater if and when appropriate.
There is a village shop and pub 5 minutes walk away, but anything more is 10 miles away. So a car would be good. Or a bicycle.

We live in a beautiful old rectory and we have a lovely laid out garden which needs tender loving care. Our children have left home and we are older,we have a high standard of living with regular cooked meals. We may be boring but too bad. The house is in the countryside and has a beautiful view. DUE TO A CANCELLATION WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO HELP OUT FOR UP TO 4 WEEKS DURING MAY/EARLY JUNE (no minimum stay). IT WOULD BE GOOD TO HAVE SOMEBODY TO WORK ALONGSIDE ANOTHER HELPER (she's Spanish, 32).

We need help with the fruit and vegetable growing, landscaping, diy and/or with housework and cooking. My partner is retired and slightly disabled and I have a bad back so we could do with some extra muscle.

You would sleep in our little summerhouse with mains electricity. Wireless broadband is available in the house. We can be pretty flexible about when you work your hours (25 a week).

We are a 15 minute walk from the centre of Kington - a small market town with shops, pubs etc. Its a good centre for hiking and off road cycling.

We're not totally vegetarian but we don't eat meat every d... more inside
