I need someone to stay for 2 to 4 weeks to help with the heavy chores around the house. I have a detached house 20 miles north of Liverpool that needs a little bit of painting and decorating and some gardening. The house needs cleaning from top to bottom... !!! I am happy to provide a private bedroom and meals in return for general duties around the home. Hours of help required 10am till 4pm Monday to Friday - weekends free unless something is required. Would prefer a person able to lift heavy items and help shift furniture. Please be aware due to the English weather it will be necessary to decide on the day what jobs will be done - if it is sunny you will work outside in the garden or on the house and when it rains there will be jobs to do indoors around the home.

We have an organic kitchen garden and a family house in a small village in Northumberland, Northern England. The main help we want is in the garden with general gardening tasks; our main project in 2015 is to paint a large fence around the garden. If the weather is fine you will be working outside, if it's raining we will find you work to do inside the house which is likely to include general cleaning, but could also be DIY or cooking for the freezer if you like cooking. We ask helpers to do 5hrs work a day for 5 days a week and have 2 days off. Also to help with washing up and cooking, and if you have any favourite recipes we would love to try them. There are two of us living here - Sandra (46) and Julian (49) and our two cats, Ollie and Lino. We are vegetarian and can cater for coeliac diets. We were helpers 3 years ago, when we had a career break, spending 4 months in France and 3 months in Italy and we really enjoyed it. We would prefer people to come for one week at a ... more inside

Our small holding is nestled in the Wiltshire countryside just outside the village of Tisbury. We have 7 acres of land, from paddocks to woodland and gardens with a large pond and streams. We are surrounded by fields and located in a rural position but still in easy walking distance (1 mile) to the local village and train station.

We have a large, old stone house, with farm style family kitchen, 4 x bedrooms and large reception rooms. We live and work at the property full time, and having seen our five boys grow up and fly the nest we now look after a flock of 30+ sheep, 1 large pig and her offspring, 10 chickens and a cow or two. We're very family orientated and enjoy having our family to stay, some live locally and a couple live in Wales and London.

We're looking for enthusiastic helpers who want an adventure and are not afraid of getting stuck in. No particular skills are necessary but an enthusiastic approach and ability to work unaided are needed. Stays can range from a ... more inside

NOTE: If you have recently sent me an email I may not have received it as I've had email problems. I have a new email now so please resend any communications you've had with me. Thank you very much.

I am living with Multiple Sclerosis (a degenerative brain condition).

I have been to Hungary to start Gerson Therapy, an intense therapy involving hyper alimentation and super detoxificaton. I need a lot of help with this and wondered if there were any helpexers out there who would be interested. Ideally two people, one for am (from 7am) and one for pm. It would be longish hours as I will probably need a freshly made juice every hour for 13 hours of the day plus lots of preparing fresh vegetables and other food.

I am generally cheerful, gregarious, and lively, but get very very tired. I live in a bungalow just about a twenty minute walk to the centre of Bath, a beautiful historic city in the South West of England. You can get trips to Stonehenge, Avebury, Glastonbury... more inside

We presently need help for the last week of May and first two weeks of June, for some landscape gardening.

This is a vibrant family home of creatives! We work from home as artist, writer, woodworker, baker and gardener. We love to make, to bake, to cook, and grow vegetables. We run two small holiday accommodation areas, facilitate creative workshops in creativity, wood and bread baking. The art studio, wood workshop, a polytunnel, vegetable patches, cob bread oven in outdoor covered kitchen and sauna are all in constant use with regular baking days, art and wood projects on the go, and sometimes a sauna to end a fruitful day. We often have small building projects going on too.
We are looking for people who enjoy getting involved, can bring their own initiative and are willing to make a valid contribution. It would be a bonus if you were a confident gardener and had skills in natural build or carpentry. Smokers welcome but only smoke outside, please. Accommodation will be separ... more inside

Martin & I live in the Wolds area of Lincolnshire and are in the process of designing a half acre plot into a series of smaller gardens. We are both active, but still work and there are always projects afoot. There is gardening, both flower and vegetable, DIY jobs, decorating, in fact we do need help but nothing is that arduous!

Our farm is in semi rural Worcestershire about 3 miles from Worcester and 3 Miles from Malvern. At the moment there are 4 adults living here, me (Janne), my husband Will (you can see me and Will in one of the photos), Lucy, who looks after another farm (one of the photos is of Holywell on the farm) and her partner Stephan. We also host WWOOFers who work with Lucy on the farm, and stay with us in the house.
Will and I are founder directors of a place, which has a cafe preparing food grown on the farm, Designer maker studios a therapy centre and the farm, and we spend most of our time working there.
I am looking for help mostly around my home and garden, but it might include helping the centre or on the farm too.
You will stay with us in the rambling old farmhouse as a member of the family and in exchange for working 6 hours a day 5 days a week you will get full board. We work communally helping each other and taking turns.

We run a B&B from our family house which, now the children have left home, we have converted into B&B accommodation. There are 2 letting rooms in the house and an annexe which provides self-catering accommodation. It is at the end of a small village, 2 miles from the nearest town.
We aim to provide a friendly, relaxed service for our guests 'Home from home'. We have always had excellent reviews and we would expect that to continue.
The duties involve setting up, cooking and clearing up breakfast, cleaning rooms, changing, washing & ironing bedding, greeting guests on arrival and departure.
