Hi, we run a mixed sheep and cropping farm near Kojonup in WA. We have four kids aged between 4 and 13, all of whom are at school. We would welcome someone who is interested in children and capable of cooking to come and help us during a busy time of the year (from now for about 6 weeks). We offer either a room in our house, or shared accommodation in another house on the property. We need someone to look after the kids after school and to do a bit of cooking and cleaning. Hi, we are William and Heather, artists (fused glass and sculpture) who live in the beautiful Ferguson Valley - a rural area with wineries, rolling hills, lots of studios, forests and cows.
Ferguson is ideally located to explore the south west of WA. It is 2 hours south of Perth, twenty minutes to Bunbury and the coast and a hour to Margaret River. The distance to the local shop is 14 km.
We require short-term helpers to assist with tasks such as gardening, home maintenance, pruning and mowing. Construction, welding or chainsaw experience would be helpful, but not necessary.
We do not smoke and would prefer non smokers.
You would be sharing a four bedroom home with us, with your own rooms and bathroom.Meals and accomodation in return for 4 hours work (negotiable). Your own vehicle would be desirable.

Our BnB is currently owned by Jerry and Jenny. In another life, Jerry was a university lecturer and Jenny a high school teacher. When they retired, they opened this B&B. It was established on their cattle farm where they ran free range breeders. In 1997, they sold the cattle and established a blue gum plantation. The farmhouse is large and spacious, overlooks a large lake where marron can be caught and a variety of water birds visit. There are a lot of wildlife kangaroos, emus, 2 cats - Mischief and Tabs, and 2 rabbits, Flopsy and Bluey. Work includes gardening and GFM. No smoking in the house, and drinking in moderation. Accomm. for 2 people in the farm house or separate cottage on the farm. Couples welcome. Shared meals or food supplied for self catering including vegetarian. No children. Initial stay 5 days, longer stays possible.
