We are a French-American and English couple, Anne-Claire an artist, reiki mistress and massage-therapist and Mike a permaculture trained occasional Shiatsu therapist who now works in the woods. We moved here from England in search of a space where our creative visions of growing, building and being could be realised. We aim to grow as much of our own food, drinks and medicine as possible. After 7 years in our Yurt and now with four children sharing the not so large space, we are moving into a barn and so have a space to welcome helpxers!

We ask for help with building projects and with the veg garden.

There is a big push this year, with the birth of number 4 to focus on the barn conversion, using ancient and modern approaches. There is mudding and liming to be done on the strawbales, pouring an earth floor, and using clay-straw slip for internal walls. We try to grow a lot of our own food, we eat our own meat, but don't be put off vegetarians, as we are both ex-veggies. We m... more inside

We need some help with some general building, decorating and gardening work, to get our project ready for holiday letting..

English guys living in France, we love renovating our property and have a strong interest in the culture of France and its cuisine. We are renovating an eighteenth century property while trying to respect its period features.
Colvin likes to cook interesting food, while Mark likes to work in the garden. Both have various DIY skills and are looking for helpers to assist in that work.
Our property is located in the heart of Normandy close to all the D-Day history, so there is plenty to see and do in your spare time.

We are offering board and lodging in return for 5 hours work per day.

Also, we can help you get around the local area and drop you at the the local train station 3kmaway. A bicycle can also be provided for you during your stay. We would like helpers for a minimum of 1 week but longer periods can be discussed.

We are a small farm , with English and French speaking family . We do not have an organic status , but we grow organically ! Our project is growing plants ,cut flowers and vegetables ! The project is in the early stages and would provide anyone interested in horticulture with a valuable experience to learn more ! I myself am a professional Gardener and singer , my partner had a dairy farm here for over twenty years and then retrained as a builder . We have chickens , pigs , goats , a pony and donkey plus two dogs and cat ! So would help if you like animals . Look forward to hearing from anyone who would be interested in what we can offer.

Hi folks, fancy a stay at my BnB for the summer, enjoy the bird song and wildlife of the Manche countryside, helping me with some DIY, renovating gardening. The gardens have fallen into disrepair as I can't take the winters there. I'm just bout to go back after being away for a year. My house is out of town so you'll need a car, or some kind of transport, nearest village Conde sur Vire is 2km away. Nearest large town ST.LO 8km Capital town of La Manche. You will have your own en-suite bedroom, There is UK TV, mobile internet but no landline. If you like to grow your own - then there's plenty of space to do so. You can smoke indoors but not in your bedroom. I am easy going and would enjoy some company as my French is disgraceful. So if you speak some French too you'd be on the short list. I am a gardener by trade, but have grown up within the catering business. I moved to France in 2004 with my late partner, who was a very clever man and could put his hand to anything, and I'm looki... more inside

Hello,

We are looking for Helpers for general help with gardening, horses/ stable work, maintenance, painting, poultry care, cleaning, guest care...the list is endless here!!

No experience necessary, just come with a willing nature and a smile! But if you have some experience, that's great!

We run a dairy farm (400 holstein friesians) and we transform the milk into cream and yoghurt on site. Alongside this, we have a beautiful B&B and gite plus a small livery yard for horses. Both our daughters compete in show jumping and we have two mares and foals. It is a very horsey place so if you love equines, you'll fit in well here!

We speak more English than French but we are bilingual so you can speak or practise either language.

Never two days the same, lots of variety, good food and a warm welcome assured. We have a dog, three cats and three children (13, 11, 8). Please apply if you like to be busy and are happy to fit in with a slightly crazy family!

Hi ! My name is Maya. I live in a sweat and typical house at 30 kilometers from the Mont St Michel, in the contryside of Low-Normandy.

It's a very quite place, amoung green nature. But there is no public transports ... You can take a bike and discover the surrondings or trek on diffrent trails arounds.

If you like tinkering or making artcraft, it's possible to organise a place for your activity.

Hosts sometimes come as "Homestay/AirBnB" but it's closed at this time.

During your journey, you'll have accomodation in a lovely bedroom built in eco-construction, with a view on fields and apple trees.

I'll ask you about 4 hours helping per day, from May the 14th to August the 10th (duration : 1-2 weeks per host):

- Tadelakt site (in the bathroom / for shower). I had a small workshop in Morocco two years ago and want to try now ! But during this "construction site", showers will be taken outside ...
- renovation of a few furnitures in wood
- few cleaning inside and ou... more inside
