We are nearly fully booked, but have space for the following dates;

- 28th May - 6th June
- 3rd september to 14th October (female only)
- 15th October to 31st October

We run an organic market garden producing vegetables, salads, herbs and cut flowers and sell our produce in Fife and Edinburgh and go to weekly farmer's markets.
The farm was started in 2015 by Rosy (28) and David (35) and Luna (dog), who have both been help exchangers previously as well as working on a number of organic farms.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about organic farming and would like to learn more. We also prefer helpers who are mature, self content, and understanding of the commercial and sometimes fast paced nature of our business.
We really need help with weeding and harvesting mainly, but will try to keep work varied to make sure that you learn a lot and enjoy yourself. It will be hard work, but also rewarding. It is essential that you like dogs.

Hello, we are a family living in the countryside near Glasgow (20 minutes hy train and bus). We need help as soon as possible. We can take couples or singles.
The help we need is painting inside and outside. Painting walls, fences and furniture. The helpers will stay in a caravan but will have access to the kitchen in the house. They will be able to use the toilet and shower in the pool and will be allowed to swim as well.
In exchange we offer meals and a place to stay during your time in Scotland. We can help you with English and offer you suggestions about places to visit.
Our neighbours also need help on their farm. The help they need is with fencing, planting and general maintenance.
We ask that the helpers come to us first and then go on to the farm afterwards. Both places are family run homes and we will support you during your stay. We live in a lovely rural location five miles from the town of Oban, on the West coast of Scotland. We have a flower garden and a separate vegetable patch as well as an extensive wildflower meadow and woodland. We need help from now (April 2018) onwards with tidying the garden, mowing, strimming, cutting and splitting firewood, and some house maintainance. Perhaps even painting our classic speedboat! We are looking for 1 or 2 cheerful, adaptable, nonsmoking omnivores who will help us for an average of 25 hrs or so per week (jobs are very weather dependent). You would live as part of our family with accommodation and all meals provided in our modern home, with free wifi. Oban is known as the Gateway to the Isles and is a great centre for exploring the West Highlands.
We are now retired but spent our working life running a big charter yacht which means we are used to living at close quarters with different people each week.

*????*????*????*????Looking for a couple to work 20 hours each in exchange of accommodation and some food*????*????*????*????

I have a small petting farm and farm shop in the Highlands of Scotland - John O'Groats a bucket list destination for many. I bought the farm in Sept 2016 as a running business, there is lots to do to try to get it where i would like to be long term. Running the farm by myself with only so many hours in a day means any help is really appreciated!

Areas where help is needed include - feeding and cleaning out the animals, chopping carrots (for visitors to feed the animals), repairing fences and fence maintenance, painting, weeding, grass cutting, cleaning the house, and being on hand to help with visitors when i am away from the farm.

A two berth caravan is on site for volunteers, it is dry, warm and cosy. You also have access to the house for showers (as the caravan bathroom is tiny) and to use the kitchen for meals as needed. There is a farm shop at... more inside

We are a couple with 2 grown up children, a son who has settled in Edinburgh and a daughter who is woking abroad. We run a croft - ie a small farm - in the northern Highlands of Scotland a couple of miles from the nearest village. On the croft there is also a self catering holiday cottage and caravan site. We have sheep, poultry, a sheepdog and 3 cats - and a poly tunnel. We farm extensively rather than intensively in order to maintain the environment and wildlife. We are always happy to help improve your English if needed or just enjoy the cultural exchange.

Current projects: Preparing for the start of lambing and the lambing; preparing the poly tunnel for the new growing season, and a little tiding up in the garden.

We have accommodation in our house for one or two people until the 12/13 of April and then during May.

We have Wi-Fi.

Please do not apply for a placement if you smoke.

We have beautiful panoramic views here, mountains, moorlands and native woodlands. Mo... more inside
