The house is located in the hills of the Piemonte. We have 4 Chicken, 3 horses, 3 cats and 2 dogs and a big vegetable garden + lots of fruit trees, hazelnuts and a small vineyard. We need help to mow the grass, work in the vineyard, help in the garden and with the horses or some little construction work. We need a motivated helper which can work some hours per day and who wants to stay at least 2 weeks. She or he should not be afraid of animals, especially horses.
Me and my husband (62 years old) are from Germany and moved here 4 years ago. We speak therefore German, Italian and English. We are vegetarian and beside food from the local markets, we harvest a lot from our garden.
We are looking forward to welcome HelpXers from all over the world in our little paradise to help us with the daily work. There is a big room waiting for you. We drive at least once per week to the sea (1 hour away) or to the mountains (45 minutes). To get to us by train, we would pick you up at the train ... more inside

VARIOUS DATES FOR ONE OR TWO PEOPLE IN DECEMBER 2017 AND FROM MID JANUARY 2018 - PLEASE WRITE WITH YOUR AVAILABILITY IF INTERESTED. WE PREFER STAYS OF 2-3 WEEKS.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU.

We are situated on the south facing side of a valley in the foothills of the Appennines. The land is planted with Sangiovese grapevines, alfalfa (for hay production) and fruit trees (apricot, cherry, olive, fig, walnut etc.), as well as a varied vegetable plot (peas, beans, tomatoes, zucchini, melons, watermelons, aubergine, etc.). We also have a rambunctious herd of goats, some sheep, chickens and a pair of pigs. We both have jobs off the farm too (mainly freelance English teaching - Victoria, and gardening/small haulage jobs - Davide). We also take bed and breakfast guests.
So we are very busy and need help to keep everything running (reasonably) smoothly!

We are looking for helpers from around the 25th of October to help with the olive harvest and general maintenance work. The olive harvest this year will be short due to the small number of olives but lots of other work to do!
We are Caroline and Richard and we live in Bosa, on the north west coast of Sardinia and have an olive grove just outside of the town, about half an hours walk away. It's situated high above Bosa with stunning views of the Temo river valley and a glimpse of the sea in the distance. There are about 300 olive trees and we are looking for people to help with the harvesting of the olives as well as general care of the trees and the land. There are also terracing walls that need to be rebuilt, fencing and general maintenance around the place. We have a veg garden where everything is being grown to organic standards.
We have converted our house in the town into 3 apartments, 1 for us to live in and the other 2 for guests. These 2 apartments will sometimes be avail... more inside

Important: If you want to join our team, please contact us first to check if we have availability! We have limited spots and being close to Rome we are often full and unable to handle short-notice requests.

We are a care farm that exists since 2002, one of the first care farms in Italy. We have animals, vegetable gardens, and a fruit yard. Our many animals are part of the staff, they work with us with the disabled. We have experience with animals but a bit less with vegetable gardens. Since 4 years we work together with a horse riding association that specializes in Horse Bed Riding therapy for multiply disabled, the only one in Italy. The farm is near to the sea and only 1 km from the train station from where you can reach the centre of Rome in about 40 minutes. You will have a room in our farm appartment, which doubles as guest house and office. There is a living room with an open kitchen, and a bath room with shower and (small) bath. Even if we don't do large scale production,... more inside

We are five people, a couple (1963 and 1966) with our two sons and our daughter - born between 1994 and 1998.
Actually only the last son lives with us ; the others fly away and come to visit sometimes.
Although we are only 650 m above sea level, we are in the mountains, the foothills north of Mount Falterona at the Muraglione Pass on highway 67 that connects Florence to Forli, and we are 4km from the town of San Godenzo .
Between our house and San Godenzo there are few houses and only 4x4 vehicles can get up
to our house. We live in a small self-built house and we can accommodate only in a new tent or caravan .
We are re-colonizing a farm which was abandoned many years ago and main jobs are (it depends on the season) : planting , weeding and watering in the vegetable garden, collecting firewoods, maintaining the access roads; continuing with the construction of a barn and building a new stable for the cows,
building fences and various building jobs on the house. W... more inside

A small farm (5 hectars, half of which is forest) in a quiet green valley, 1 hour walk from the village. The close railway station is Fabro-Ficulle ( 7 km ) which is halfway between Rome and Florence. There are funny dogs (4 adults ) and sometimes their puppies come visit :) and cats who are often in the house. There is a veg-garden that needs weeding, and other attentions... and loads of things to do: mainly rebuilding some order here and there! We preferably eat our own produce, gather wild herbs, truffles and fruits; we buy as little as possible and are not used to animal products.
Usually -as a guest- you have a self contained room .
Normally no more than 1 guest at once.
Stays of at least 1 week, and it is better for someone who is happy to be on her/his own at times. I mainly need help to keep order around and in the house and sometimes also in my ceramic lab.
Sometimes small building jobs and repairs, painting (people with carpenter- electrician -plumber skills are al... more inside

Hello, my name is Giovanna, my husband, myself and our three children (19, 18 and 17) live on the hill of Segalari, in Castagneto Carducci, in a lovely spot in front of the sea of ??Tuscany. Usually we need help in autumn with olive's harvest, cutting the woods, building fences, cut the grass, build a little with wood. As for summertime, while the camping is open, we may need somebody very able with professional cleanings. This is a small organic farm where we grow cherry trees, olive's trees and lavender. Andrea is a carpenter and often needs an help in the workshop so carpenters are always precious to us.
