I have a house on half an acre in the Eastern Hills of Perth. Most of my garden is just bush (no lawn etc) and native plants - except for surrounding the house. I have had lots of couchsurfers stay and they all like the fact that it is really laid back here and a good place to relax. I have 3 spare rooms - 1 double, 1 single and 1 with a camp bed. It is about 4kms to Mundaring - the nearest supermarkets - and public transport isnt wonderful, but there is some. Nearest commuter train station is Midland - 20kms away. With CS I have usually managed pick ups etc. I am close to the State Forest, Lake Leschenaultia (good to swim in fresh water) and John Forrest National Park.
Really I am looking for people to stay occasionally and help me clear up leaves and tree bark from the back garden (never ending in the Hills) and take it to the tip. I also sometimes have gutters to clean or weeding, or general handyman stuff but mostly can do that myself. I do have some veggies and herbs ... more inside

We propagate via seed and cutting (and some grafting in summer),and pot into mainly 50mm tubes, but also into 75mm and some grafted plants into larger sized containers. We often need to acces seed/cutting material from 'off the property'either from 'other gardens/properties and/or from private bushland'. We have a caravan on-site for helpers, but would welcome guests into the house for meals, bathroom, social activitys, etc. We have 4 grown-up daughters and grandchildren, and have staff who are keen to experience 'keen young adventurers who are willing to experience a true Aussie small business in operation'.

We cannot host in winter as we operate on solar only and do not have enough power. We can provide meals but do not allow smokers or persons who use drugs. We have 2 pedigree Birman cats who are our children and are spoilt rotten. We live in a renovated shed that is very large and fitted out like a house at the front. The gardens are surrounded by horse and snake fencing. We do not grow anything on our farm yet but are working towards that. We have some fencing and some gardening to do as well as in the summer some tractor work cutting the hay and ploughing the firebreaks.
