We are in a beautiful part of Shropshire, close to the Welsh border and Offa's Dyke. and are quite often able to host one or maybe two people for a week or two in return for some basic gardening, painting work or simple DIY. We are quite remote and there is not much public transport, but if you want to have some peace and quiet and some lovely walks, it might suit you. If English is not your first language we're happy to help you improve. Di is a good cook! A current, clean driving licence would be useful.

Hello, We'd like to offer en suite self catering accommodation in one of our yurts here in the Cotswold Hills AONB in exchange for 5 hours help 5 days a week during the month of March. Tasks will include some heavy lifting on steep and muddy terrain so you'll need to be fit and strong. You also need to be clean and tidy as you'll be setting up and staying in one of our summer 'holiday' yurts. If you're interested in yurts or sustainable tourism; have some carpentry or landscaping/gardening experience and are respectful towards nature and wildlife we'd love to have you stay. We are a family with three school age children living at home, a dog and two cats. We work from home and have a busy life juggling family, work, and a large garden in a remote location. We would love to grow more vegetables in our garden, and to have chickens, so need help in setting things up and maintaining momentum once we get going! So we would love to offer accommodation within the house to either a single person or a couple sharing a large double bedroom and en-suite bathroom. We would welcome helpers to join our happy family for some meals and to perhaps help with cooking/housework/dog walking when necessary and/or help in the garden with general chores, and renovating a dog-run to become a hen house and run. We are friendly and welcoming, keen to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.

We are Laura, Gary, William and James, with small very friendly dog Monty. Our house is a newly built with the Passive House aspiration. It sits in the south wall of a Victorian Walled Garden.

The Garden is made of three sections: orchard, flower garden and veg garden, with surrounding woodland lanes. All very beautiful and full of potential. We need help with managing all aspects of the garden and starting to create different areas of interest within the structure of it. We need to move away from a building site to a home where people can visit and enjoy the garden.

We work hard and try to find a balance in life, so need a little help to move the garden along.

Independent living accommodation suitable for a two or an individual.

30 minutes drive to the Lake District and 20 minutes to Yorkshire Dales. 3 hours train link to London. Lovely walking and mountain biking. Work expectations matched with free adventure time. Food mainly vegetarian and home grown where possible.

We have a historic twin masted Dutch Sailing Klipper from 1896. We are developing her as a "culture ship", an interactive arts and performance venue, and a space for cultural exchange.
The whole exterior of the ship has now been restored and we are currently working on the interior, building new cabins and finishing the grand hold theatre space.
At the moment we only need carpenters and plumbers (rather than unskilled labour), so we would welcome anyone experienced in these fields.
The ship is moored at a unique and spectacular location, with views of some of the world's most iconic landmarks, just 500m from Tower Bridge in Central London, on the Thames. In 2012 she took part in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee River pageant and the closing of London 2012 weekend/ Thames Festival, and in 2013 the biggest art performance ever on the Thames - 1513: A Ships' Opera
