We are two hours drive from Cairns. Our three children are one, four and six years old. Helper accommodation is a big bus.
Bathroom is shared with us, but there is plenty of hot water. We are building with bamboo, setting up aquaponics and gardens. There are plenty of other jobs depending on what you're into/ good
at. There are always the animals to feed and exercise (a donkey, turkeys, and rare breed dogs), but we normally take a few hours off in the middle of the day and go swimming, as there are lots of great swimming spots nearby (and on the tablelands
we have no crocodiles).

I am embarking on an exciting project. This 45 acre property is going to become a permaculture paradise. As I am in the process of moving in I am also starting to plan the development of this great property. It will serve as a retreat as well as a permaculture environment.

There are an abundance of waterways here and even a 4000 sqm damn as well as several others. The property is 20 minutes from Noosa Heads and 20 minutes from Maroochydore Airport, 10 minutes from Peregian Beach and only 5 minutes to Eumundi.

There is so much to do, and it is so exciting. The views from the front verandah and the new puppy make it all worthwhile. It is very exciting and I do need help.

The main work consists of helping my full time guy with building decks, finishing off the cabins, weeding and planting as well as some house work, e.g. cooking.

A little about me. I am a photographer in the fashion industry and also the author of Healing Foods - Cooking for Celiacs, Colitis, Crohn's and ... more inside

Our property is in the rainforest, 10 Minutes from the village of Kuranda and a 40-Minute drive from the city of Cairns in far north Queensland. A beautiful National Park is nearby, with several good walking tracks. We don't have any farm animals on the block, but have lots of beautiful birds and butterflies, also forest creatures like goannas, bush turkeys, wallabies and cassowaries.
We would like some helping hands with gardening, some building maintenance, painting and household chores for short times up to a week. Our guest accommodation consists of a basic room adjacent to a large shed with outside toilet and shower on a deck. There is one queen size bed.
We have a computer and phone in the main house. Please bring closed shoes for outside work.

We live in a sub-tropical wonderland. Under the 100 foot high cliffs of Binna Burra and with the headwaters of the Nerang River surrounding our land, it is truly so tranquil and gorgeous.
We have a heard of pure bred Red Angus cattle and two stunning horses who would love daily care and riding.
We have chickens and so much potential for organic gardening and produce.
Environmental projects are a priority to eradicate lantana and Brazilian Devils Fig from the river banks.
Close to the sublime Gold Coast beaches, but completely immersed in real country life.

We are looking for an au pair to come to Cloncurry to be part of our family and enjoy our country lifestyle for 6 months to 1 year. Here is a little more information about us if you are interested: We live in the outback in Queensland. Our town is called Cloncurry and only has about 3000 people living here. It is a great place to live and we have lots of fun. Jack and Thomas go to St Josephs School. Jack is in grade 4 and Thomas is in grade 2. When they get home from school, they do their homework and then play soccer, ride their motorbikes and help feed the chickens. They are lovely, well mannered boys. My husband Matthew is a Police Officer with the Queensland Police Service and I am a Civil Engineer with the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We require our Au Pair to help prepare the kids for school, take them to school and pick them up from school. It would be great if you enjoy cooking, as you may have to prepare dinner occasionally. You will have most of the day to yours... more inside

Our family is building our home. We are seeking some energetic individuals who are wanting a new and unique experience. The work is not hard but it is dirty, so be prepared to get a little mud on your hands. You will stay in the existing 6 bedroom house already on the property - which is a short distance from our home site. All meals are provided.

We are a friendly easy going family of 6. However, as my husband is suffering from a long-term degenerative illness, he is often left bedridden.

We have a family of emus that visit regularly (see photos), as well as several families of kangaroo. We also have a very large assortment of fruit trees - which is expanding daily.

We can pick you up from the bus stop in Chinchilla. You will require a Telstra mobile phone if you wish to make calls during your stay as we have no landline available (we are too far away from the nearest exchange), otherwise there is limited access to the internet. Due to the remoteness ... more inside
