Los si... more inside

We are looking for volunteers during December and January to help pruning our olive trees. We live in a very peaceful natural bio spheric park where people can find their way back to nature.
We are on dry land.
We offer a straw bale house with cooking facilities and shared accomodation. We will provide basic food. Your phone can be loaded in the main house as that is the only source of electricity.
Living a sustainable life in "Sierra de las Nieves" natural park means that we are completely off grid (no mains electric or water), we work with solar electric energy (varied output, sun dependant!) and collect rain water for the garden and ourselves. We will provide you with water but please do not expect to wash clothes here! There is a spring 20 minutes walk away so feel free to collect water. We have a compost / organic toilet.

Bring boots, working clothes, torch, sleeping bag and yourself!!

We speak English,German and basic Spanish and Dutch as we are Irish & Dutch from ... more inside

I have a spare bedroom here in Granada for anyone who will come and speak Spanish with me so I can practise!

The house is in the upper albaicin region just below the urbanización San Miguel. You can walk to the historic centre of the albaicin in less than 10 minutes, and to the centre of Granada (cathedral etc) in 30, but we're just far enough out to be nice and quiet. It's perfect really. There are also buses down to town but I never use them.

My brother James and I live here. I'm an English teacher and James is killing time before he starts university. We're pretty laid back and not much bothers us. There is a spare bedroom here for one or two people, in exchange for which I want you to chat to me in Spanish so I can practise! I've studied hard but need to improve my fluency. Apart from that, as long as you chip in with the washing up etc, you're free to do whatever takes your fancy in this beautiful city :)

My name is Teresa. My husband, my children (Noa is 6 and Alex is 3 years old) and me live in Burgos (Camino de Santiago), a town in the north of Spain. We spend several days in summer in our house of a village near Burgos with beautiful sightseeing. During summer time there are a lot of parties and activities. We usually go to the city once or twice a week, and we can give you a lift to the city center.
We´re looking for an English person who can take care of our two children and speak with us in English, we can also teach some Spanish. We offer food + accommodation.

Cortijo Mesquerina is a 3 hectare finca cultivating olives, almonds and fruit with a large permaculture garden and abundant water supply. Help is needed with maintaining the irrigation infrastructure, looking after the olive & almond plantations and fruit orchards and and restoring the permaculture vegetable garden. Helpers have their own independent living space consisting of a caravan with adjoining wooden kitchen/ living room, verandah and compost toilet & solar shower. A long- term arrangement is possible for a suitable person / couple, with the opportunity to share the abundant produce and be self sufficient. Useful skills: Experience with organic tree and vegetable cultivation and land management is an advantage, 'tho not essential. Light construction and general handyman skills also useful.

An experience in the North of Spain, Bilbao !!!

I would like to host a girl (from 27 to 33) who want to spend their free time with me and my parents.

In exchange, I can offer accommodation and lots of plans (museums like Guggenheim, beaches, excursions, pintxos,.... )but not lunch because we don't eat at home.

During the day, I have to work but later in the afternoon I would need some help with my speaking. And at weekends I would also like to spend my time doing different activities in English.

We have TV, wireless. If you have any question don't doubt and ask me please, I would be glad to answer you.

Cheers,
Irene

Winter 2015/2016

A truly beautiful private farm of about 3 hectares with views to Africa, surrounded on all sides by forest and about 35 minutes’ walk to the village. We have citrus orchards, plums, pomegranates, figs, cherry, avocadoes and many other kinds of fruit and nut trees to enjoy. Lots of projects in the growing gardens, orchards, greenhouse, as well as with various stages of natural building projects, planting, swales, planning for ponds, and much more. Have been here for 10 years and currently have cats, two dogs and chickens. We are doing organic gardening, applying permacultural principles, biodynamic calendar, sheet mulch (no dig methods), composting, encourage biodiversity in the garden as well as seeds saving. The area of the farm includes several buildings and facilities: eco-house, dome, outdoor kitchen, yurt, bathroom, compost toilet, barn; and we often use clay oven for pizza-making, rocket stove, solar cooker, fire tubs, etc.

Currently, we are looking for ... more inside
