My wife and myself are candle makers, home gardeners, parents of two cheeky boys (3yo/7yo) and Ministers of our local Church. We are new to helpx but have met quite a few helpers that have been staying with other hosts in our town and love the opportunity helpx creates.

We have purchased an old boarding house with lots of rooms and in need of lots of work. We have other young people boarding with us and have a lot of people come over for a coffee, a chat or to work in the backyard, so if you like to socialize its a good place to be. We have a large function room set up with various musical instruments for some great nights of music and we are also just across the road from the local pub if you enjoy a few quiet drinks.

Just 10mins down the road are beautiful beaches with great fishing (you are welcome to borrow some fishing gear) we are surrounded by rivers, forests and mountains and are also only 150km's away from great snowfields.

If you come and stay with us for a sho... more inside

2 bedrooms available in large modern house. The property is 5kms from public transport - train station (1hr to Melbourne), and 8km from nearest shops. The property has been cleared for grazing, and I am trying to re-vegetate with native trees and plants, as the property is mostly a haven for native wildlife.
Main work required includes – planting native trees in autumn, + garden maintenance (weeding & mulching)+ collecting wood for wood heater. Other tasks would depend on skills and experience.
Expect 8 hrs (2x4hrs or 4x2hrs)+ $100/per week in exchange for accommodation. Meals extra, or self cook.
I'm happy to collect from the airport for $50 to cover my travel/parking expenses.
