Gardenfarm is a very beautiuful Eden-like farm, designed as a Permaculture ecosystem, with a strong Japanese influence. Its in a glorious valley setting, with animals wandering happily, food forests and rivers, visitor cabins, and lots of thinking and action on how we can make a this world and life wonderful.

I'm looking for self-directing, observant and thoughtful travellers, over 26 years old, to work on creating wonderland.

Work includes carpentry, renovating the cabins, planting a Japanese garden, building a Japanese outdoor bath, designing and creating clever passive watering systems.
If you like, you can also help Farmer Bob look after chickens, sheep, cows, and garden, and turning the produce into wonderful pies, quince paste, and more, for sale.
Non-garden tasks include graphic design, film making and editing, writing magazine articles & helping me to get organised. Its great to do yoga each night, so if you can lead us in some sessions, great.

Welcome to Sunny Sebastian...

I have two double rooms (with queen beds) inside the house, fully furnished. Couples ok. Van-Lifers ok. LGBT Friendly. However up to 10 people can stay here at any one time.

I am looking for help to restore this sweet little property into an animal and wildlife rescue site including fixing outbuildings, restoring wildlife enclosures and designing & building a large fresh produce garden from scratch. Basic handy person skills, a set of green thumbs and a good creative imagination is welcomed.

I need help with various projects around the property including but not limited to fencing work, general maintenance on the farm outbuildings, restoring the in-ground pool, clearing and restoring the stables, general clearing of rubbish on the property, feeding animals twice daily, collecting eggs, chopping wood, maintaining the goat areas, designing and building a g... more inside

Lorraine's horses are her main focus

Lorraine also has two very friendly dogs - Boy (dalmatian) and Hetty (Doberman x Staffy).

She welcomes helpers who have experience with horses and can exercise youngsters and older horses. Special consideration is given to those who have owned their own horses in the past.

Some assistance with gardening, painting, fencing, farm work, tidying, etc. may also be appreciated - any helper should be able to carry out tasks with minimum supervision :)

Lorraine can accommodate helpers who do not have their own transport. Arrangements can be made to collect from the local station etc.

Lorraine's property, Woodstock Stud is within 5 mins drive of the Wallan station (Vline Train services almost an hourly service into Melbourne) the journey takes 45 mins to the city. Easy access to the freeway too.

Lorraine's property is located near to the Mount Disappointment State Forest in Victoria which is in easy riding access (via quiet roads) for ... more inside

At this time we are setting up vegetable gardens for later planting and I am about to have a major leg operation, so I will be in a wheelchair for a month or so. We need help with preserving / cooking and cleaning at the moment as well.

Even though it is winter in Victoria here you will be very very warm. Our house is aways warm.

We live on a farm which provides a great deal of our food. We always have meat ( chicken, pork, beef, lamb) in the freezer and eggs ( duck , guinea fowl, pheasant, hen) and goat milk. We also grow vegetables.

We have fabulous food every day - Thai curries, pizzas, roasts, stews. There is always a LOT of food. We make our own beer and wine and ginger beer and lemonade . We make jams and pickles and cheese and butter. We do not take vegetarians or vegans.

We live about 25km from Ballarat in Victoria and can pick people up from the railway station if you do not have a car.

HELPXers who are here generally help (voluntarily) about 5 h... more inside

Set in 16 acres of natural bush with gardens and a tennis court with basketball ring. There are numerous outdoor living areas. With campfires and cooking facilities there is plenty of scope for quiet relaxation.
Nearby township of Noojee has 3 restaurants and several scenic attractions. We are 1.5 hours drive from central Melbourne. There are numerous country businesses, wineries, nurseries and so on nearby.
My wife and I travelled in the past and I have worked and lived in 9 countries so we appreciate cultural exchange and are tolerant easy going people. We had 3 children living here who have all moved on so we have plenty of spare room. We are hoping to have a range of helpers as we are now close to 70 years old, retired and need help keeping the house and gardens in order, weeding, pruning and so on. General maintenance of the buildings and the property generally is also envisaged. Range of power tools and equipment available. I'm renovating my house and it's on a big block. I need someone to do small building jobs, floor tiling, gardening, painting, fencing, burning off and general maintenance. Work is easy and you don't need any special skills. ...
I would ask for 3 hours work per day per person with two days free. Ideally I would have someone for 3-10 days. I have two spare bedrooms one with a double bed and one with a single. I would welcome couples, friends, solo travellers or small family's. Any age is welcome. Wifi is available . You would get three meals a day provided. This is negotiable if you have your own van and want to cook for yourself. I will provide food but we will share the cooking and I expect you to clean up after yourself.
Barooga is approximately three hours north of Melbourne on the Murray river. It is in New South Wales but on the border with Victoria. I live in town and you can walk to everything including the river.
I'm in Melbourne every few weeks so I may be able to pick ... more inside

Our home is located in the picturesque Macedon Ranges one hour from Melbourne CBD. Our property is a piece of rural tranquility, is heavily treed and surrounded by native bushland. We are frequently visited by kangaroos and the occasional wombat, echidna and lots of birdlife.

We are situated 4 klms out of the village of Woodend which is serviced by a direct train to Melbourne and Bendigo. The local region boasts lots of local attractions including Hanging Rock, Mt. Macedon, bushwalking, cycling, wineries ...

We are a mature couple with one of us working from home and the other working part-time.

Our home is comfortable and tidy and we are sometimes working on improvements both inside and outside.

We would appreciate some help with outside property maintenance eg bush clearing, vegetable planting, weatherboard cleaning, painting. We'll match the jobs to your skills and our current program.

We are offering accommodation in our home in your own room and shared cen... more inside
