Surrounded by State Forest, our 50 acre Farm is an oasis of lush, green paradise! Orchards, gardens, a large dam, animals & lots of space to roam. A great insight into sub tropical gardening, with enormous bamboo, gingers & bananas. A family of six, we are lifestyle focused, our days revolving around our children & the farm. We have a thriving Market Stall at the Noosa Farmers Market & Eumundi Markets selling Beeswax Wraps. Our timber cottage is solar power, tank water, completely off the grid. We are surfers, love yoga & spend many evenings around the cob wood fired oven. We live simply, eat organic, nutritious meals & live free of electronic media/ TV etc. with a large library to chose to read from & plenty of lovely spaces to relax in.
Help will generally revolve around the preparing for the market stall & general gardening & farm maintenance. We bake bread daily & many foods from scratch. Your love of children is necessary as our children are a constant part of our daily life. ... more inside

G'day.
I am not looking for hosts until mid June when I head North by car for the winter, to explore more of this vast country, help on farms, metal detecting, fishing or just being near the ocean or the bush. I am honest, reliable, don't drink or smoke.
I've hosted over 3OOO backpackers on the yacht, which sleeps 6 and travelled with them in all States.
As a helper, I've worked on many host farms and as a registered house sitter have sat 11 houses. I have a vehicle and trailer with gear for camping and house painting. I have been around Australia 3 times, I like isolated places, boating and op shops, I avoid the cities.
The following references are reproduced here from some of my five visitor books that have their photographs and details.
Lena, from Germany: When I arrived I have been an emotional wreck. After these nearly two weeks I spent with you, I feel relaxed and able to move on. We did lots of things. You showed me the East Coast... more inside

We have only been back on the family farm about a year so we are still settling in to our new home (but an old house) and the garden is still a big work in progress. Aggie could use some help around the home and with our active 4 year old as we also have a little girl who will be one in May so life is extra busy! We have spent the last few years in lots of places - Scotland/UK, Europe, Kununurra, Broome, Charleville, so we are looking forward to settling down a little but want to have some travel experience by having travellers come to us!

The farm has been in the family for 100 years and currently supports 4 families, this includes 3 generations with grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and 2 very busy 4 year olds and 2 toddlers!

We have lots of work to do in the garden as the goal is to be self sufficient in a few years time! We also have plans involving some tourism ventures in the future so there is lots to keep busy with!

In exchange for your labour you will be hosted with e... more inside

Hi, we would like to welcome you to Hervey Bay.

We're a friendly family that welcomes helpers to our beautiful part of the world. You'll need to be kid and pet friendly (we have two inside cats and two outdoor dogs. The kid is polite, but the dogs are still learning their manners!).

Breakfast and lunch provided for 2.5 hours work a day. Flexibility for you to work whenever suits you during the day, and you can work more time one day to have time off another (e.g work 3.5 hours for 5 days to get two days off). Work is primarily gardening or light handyperson work, but may include internal painting, general house work and possibly babysitting.

Stay in a private room, with a queen bed, and own bathroom. Free WiFi, use of laundry, currently 1 bicycle and 1 adult scooter for use, but I'm keeping my eyes out for another bike, so doing one up could also be a job if that's something you can do. Individuals, couples or friends welcome.

Our beautiful beach (and shops) are 20... more inside

****HEAPS OF YARD WORK, HOUSE CLEANING AND A DOG TO WALK. ****

Hi Everyone, I have a rural home close to transport and town. Simple accommodation with good food. It's a leisurely 20-30 min walk to Nambour, which is the centre of the Sunshine Coast. From there it is just a bus ride to Caloundra, Noosa or Mooloolaba. It is close to the Hinterland as well. Australia Zoo is not far away and there is also the Big Pineapple. There are always things to do, yard work, organising, housekeeping and also taking care of the dog.I do shift work so I am not able to give him the attention he needs, walks etc. He is a large dog, with a big voice, but friendly.YOU MUST BE DOG PEOPLE. You must also be independent and be able to work unsupervised as I am not always home. I have hosted exchange students for many years but now my children have grown up and left home. I have done a share of travelling and thought it would be great to open my home to backpacker/travellers instead. My home is plain, bu... more inside

I'm a beekeeper that works between Cairns and Bloomfield. I mainly stay in Bloomfield/Ayton at the moment. The work involves collecting bee hives for honey extraction and queen bee rearing this gives us plenty of time to explore the local areas. Making bee hives is another job in Bloomfield which is situated 35 km north of Cape Tribulation 500m from the Weary Bay Beach and a few kilometers from the Bloomfield River. In spare time we like to show guest the Bloomfield River and it Crocodile population.

Task also involve house work and gardening.

If we are lucky and the weather permits we go to reef and tropical Islands snorkeling, fishing and exploring.

The work is not hard, suits male or females and is always varied, recreational activities after work as swimming, hanging out at the beach, camping, crocodile spotting and reef trips.

Maryborough is one of the oldest heritage cities in Australia. Located along the Mary River which meanders through the town, it is a very picturesque town, with many old beautiful Queenslander houses (one of which we own). It is the birthplace of the author of Mary Poppins - P L Travers. You can have your photo taken with her statue in town.

Maryborough is located in the Wide Bay area near Hervey Bay and Fraser Island and both are accessible via public transport (buses - and to Fraser Island, a Barge from River Heads) within 30 minutes.

Our home is a private residence and we are nearly finished in returning our home to its original look. We have already started but as my husband is working fulltime its difficult to get things done quickly. We have hosted a number of times, for 2 Japanese teachers (at separate times) 2 weeks each and for a German girl for 2 months who volunteered at the Wildlife Sanctuary just outside of Maryborough.

Accommodation is in a private room... more inside
