Kids have recently moved out of home so we have a spare room, we live in a small cane farming town half way between Brisbane and Cairns on Highway #1. 2 cats and Molly the inside dog reside with us.
Sarina is 30 minutes south of Mackay , accessible by bus and we travel in about once a week. We are 10 minutes from a variety of beaches swimming between May- Nov, however we live opposite the town pool which is open Sept- April.
We are looking for a quiet couple who enjoy a little bit of house cleaning (windows, fans cupboards etc), gardening and few odd jobs to
spend a week or so with us. We will provide a comfy room(queen size bed and share bathroom) all meals and when able show or direct to local sights. The train also travels through twice a week from Brisbane to Cairns.
We are English speaking but love a challenge . We also keep bees so if you are interested and happen to bee here when we are robbing hives you may like to assist .

We are a local couple living in a timber pole home in the rain forest at Stoney Creek . Stoney Creek is 20 mins from Cairns City and we are right beside the Barron Falls National Park . We welcome Helpex travelers to share the Cairns tropical relaxed lifestyle in return for help with basic household and gardening jobs. Our house is quite unique in it's peaceful rain forest setting. We are also close to the northern beaches which are easily accessed by regular bus services . This area has many hiking trails and we provide bikes for our helpers for exploring and to ride to the shops . Free Wifi is available as well.
Our home is a hub for musos so be prepared for some jam sessions.
We are happy to speak to prospective helpers on the phone to provide more info about being hosted by us here at beautiful Stoney Creek Please read our reviews and have a look at our recent photos.

About us: Ellie, a former traveller, born in The Netherlands, came to visit Australia in 1982 and I am still here! Peter was born and bred in Brisbane, Australia. We live on a 50 acre property about 5 km's away from a small village, Boreen point, on lake Cootharaba. It is about 20-25km's away from Noosa Heads (there are a few buses/day that take you there for $2) The village is about 150km North of Brisbane. There is a sailing club and an old pub and a shop. We live on a 2 acre clearing surrounded by 50 acres of bush. We would like help with maintaining our property as well as doing projects. There is also a natural swimming pool that requires some work from time to time. Finally, we would welcome folk who help us keep the house, vegetable garden and surrounding land up to standard and share the cooking with us. We like the contact with travellers and would be happy to share our small, but practical and clean home with you. Warning: It is a quiet life-style here, so it would suit fo... more inside

We are a new distillery in Rockhampton currently renovating our main bar and dinning area. The building is an old art deco pub from 1930 and needs a lot of work completed to bring it back to its former glory. We have completed the distillery, cafe and some of the hotel rooms but there is lots more to get done.
We would like people that could help with general renovation jobs such as cleaning, painting, sending etc etc. There will also be opportunities to work in the distillery making rum and in the cafe. We are expecting 15 hours of work a week in exchange for accommodation.
We are a young couple with 2 young boys ( aged 2 & 4) who are enjoying this new project in beautiful Rockhampton. Rockhampton has some fun things to do nearby with some beautiful national parks and stunning beaches a short drive away in Yeppoon.

Hi Helpx. I have built a new house on a beautiful hillside property that backs onto the rainforest on the Northern Beaches of Cairns, just a few minutes drive from famous Palm Cove. Look forward to meeting new friends and getting help to finish lots of jobs, mainly landscaping and gardening work.
