We are a small holding in the process of building a free range duck farm. We require help building multiple duck houses and fencing, and looking after the animals. This will include feeding the pigs and topping up their water, and changing there bedding. This will also include feeding and cleaning out the ducks. We also have to work away from home as our business is in its infancy so you may possibly be required to work on various building projects away from home too, but this is optional as there is always plenty of work on the farm. There is weeding, clearing and new grease to seed. We have various pig pens which need to be re organised for use by ducks. Visitors are expected to help wash up occasionally. We have a nice 2 bedroomed mobile home with a log burner for visitors to live in, and we have a washing machine and wifi for all to use. We are situated in Somerset in the heart of the levels on the outskirts of Hush Episcopi village. We have bikes for guests and there are some l... more inside

A family home, 2 children, aged 16 and 10, with large garden. Help always needed keeping on top of the garden, and with child care. I have back problems and nerve damage, and therefore can't keep up with the large garden during spring and summer, and would be grateful for any help.

Small farm with stunning views. We are a young couple and baby with quite a menagerie! Help mostly required is gardening/grounds work and general everyday tasks. There are plenty of larger jobs/projects available too though!

All meals provided, accommodation is in the family home.

We are quite isolated but will provide lifts to and from train stations/local towns, and a bike is available. We are about 20 miles from the Lake District National Park.

Any questions please get in touch.

UPDATE - we have enough helpers for 2014

Currently look for people for mid June and onwards. We live in West Sussex close to South Downs National Park in the countryside but not far from London and Brighton. Accommodation with family in the spare room or we could find you a nice place in the woods to pitch a tent. Meals or food for meals can be provided, what ever works best.20 hours per week. We can be flexible about when these are worked but need to have a little bit of a weekly plan.
Lifts to nearby villages and towns can be arranged.
Enthusiasm and ability to muck in is much more important than experience
The list of possible jobs is long but we would be keen for you to help with: Mending farm roads, mending fences, gardening, mowing, chopping wood, feeding animals, milking cows, clearing out buildings, cleaning holiday cottage and various other jobs.
We would welcome people with agricultural experience or who a... more inside

Hi My name is Alex. I have a small team of Toy showdogs and show in the UK and Spain. I am based in the UK but I will be in Spain for the winter months October to March and need assistance. So can offer a wonderful Spanish location on the coast, walking distance to everything with own room, and use of pool. Very comfortable. Must have a love of dogs. Car driver an advantage. Good sense of humour. Help is needed on a daily basis to dog and house sit, with light domestic cleaning. Plenty of free time to explore Malaga and surrounding areas.

We moved in to the family farmhouse 18 months ago and it has needed a lot of love! It is juts me, my husband and our love of our life- Teddy our 2 year old little boy.
Andrew my husband runs our free range poultry flock and tried to keep up with the other jobs around the farm. We do have 250 acres - the arable is contract farmed by friends of ours. but woods etc are our responsibility. We also have grass livery, a glamp site, Farmhouse B&B and a holiday cottage (Laura's departments). Most of these are mainly spring and summer months.
We have two pet goats that live in the back garden.

Autumn an winter are our maintenance seasons- woodland work, maintenance, gardens, fencing etc. Tree audits on the poultry fields. we are happy for people to stay 1 week, or do longer periods.

We have two petting goats that give us hours of entertainment an need halter training before next season so we can take them out to visit campers and village shows etc.

you will stay in a room in ... more inside

We are a sociable family of myself and my husband and our two girls (3 and 1.5). We live in a lovely house just outside Glastonbury with our dogs, cats, chickens and fish and numerous visitors.

We are really looking for someone who can come and help out with house work, gardening and playing with children to ease the daily load of work. My husband is working long hours as a publisher and I would like to be able to spend more of this precious year doing wonderful projects with our to little girls.

So it's just a bit of help here and there, and then you would be able to explore the countryside, read, play instruments and find out more about the fascinating historical landscape in and around Glastonbury.

At the moment (March 2014)I urgently need help in the house and garden because my husband and I are both 'getting on' and I haven't been all that well recently.

Gordon and I are a retired couple who live in a lovely part of rural England and who have hosted wwoofers and helpxers for several years.

I grow vegetables for our own use and to sell. I also market my own jams and chutneys. (I say 'I' because I do most of the work now: Gordon is 84 and can't do so much.)

We have some elderly free range hens, a collie-type dog and a cat. We did have rescue ponies but felt we were getting too old to keep them and found good homes for them.

Ours is a small scale operation but we enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and we value the help we're given.

We offer visitors a nice, comfortable room with double bed (an extra single bed can be made available) with washbasin and simple cooking facilities if required, although all our visitors to date have been happy to sh... more inside
