Lovely old stone-built house and garden in the mountains - Cevennes National Park, southern France.

I have just moved to another,very much smaller, but even more beautifully situated house in same area as my photos show below.

Complete change of circumstance as owner, Linda, is now entirely bed- and wheelchair- bound, permanently, but otherwise pretty low maintenance, kind and tolerant. Does expect same in return.

REALLY good sense of humour essential, I like to have fun. Skills required - Experience landscape work, tiling, garden carpentry etc invaluable.Light carpentry,etc., lots of painting and decorating, cooking (fabulous kitchen equipment) with boss issuing instructions but also prepping food very efficiently (I CAN also take orders as well as issue them!) etc., usually up to 3 people in house but likes inviting others, max 3, just occasionally, as gets expensive. Small parties always fun if we find excuse;

Two glasses of wine included with evening meal, anything ... more inside

i live in a beautiful 300year old farmhouse which i am slowly renovating. With lovley big old barns. I need help finishing off bits in the house and for next summer I need help with changing beds and cleaning in the mornings as I run a very busy B&B . I have a caravan that can be used for accommodation which is in my garden . I have 1 big dog 3 cats 6 chickens and my neighbors donkey who lives in my field. My house is in the heart of the countryside and is very peaceful. It would be better if you had a car or some sort of transport as the nearest small village is 15 mins walk and the bigger town is 20 mins with a car and I am not sure how often the bus runs. I love cooking and am vegan but will cook meat for who ever stays if needed. It's a beautiful place to come and stay do a bit of work and then enjoy the area. I have an above ground pool that can be used and a jacuzzi. I am very laid back but just need help for this season as bookings are coming in daily .....:)

We live in a late 18th century chateau which we are in the process of renovating. We are looking for help particularly with gardening and getting the 4 hectare park in shape plus some small renovation projects in the house potentially. The park has a lot of undergrowth that needs thinning out.

We have a self contained guest house that the helper can live in. We will provide food which you are able to prepare in the fully fitted kitchen of the guest house. Internet is available as is French TV.

We are located in the Aude valley of Languedoc in an area famous for the Cathar crusade. We are just off the Autoroute Des Deux Mers. Toulouse is 50km away and Carcassonne is 30km. La Cite the medeaval walled city and fortified chateau in Carcassonne is a World Heritage site.

We are sorry not to be able to take any helpers until Autumn 2017 but enjoy your Summer and maybe we'll see you later in the year!

We are Ron and Judi and we have shared periods of our life at La Grand-Mere with some truly fantastic helpers!

Our work can be quite physical and mostly outside...so we need strong, energetic, enthusiastic helpers!! The tasks we need help with include Autumn leaf clearing, replacing paddock fencing, always lots of clearing and weeding, improving our composting system and, if you have the skills, renovating our beautiful old bread oven which, whilst complete, is rather weedy and hidden at the moment! We need helpers who can use their initiative and if you are mature and have some relevant experience all the better! Energy, enthusiasm, a sense of fun and definitely a love of animals are our main requirements!

The focus of our life here is our animals, a small breeding herd of alpacas, a pair of peacocks, chickens, cats and a large flock of doves... more inside
