Seeking helpers for May and June!

Spring is the most beautiful time of year to visit the Irish countryside with lambs and calves in the fields and everything in bloom.

Our house is at the top of Kilross hill with the majestic Galtee Mountains and the Glen of Aherlow (voted Irelands top inland destination 2013) to the south and beautiful the Golden Vale to the north. Our home offers soul-nourishing tranquility and scenic beauty.

There are mountain, hill, river and forest paths nearby so it's ideal if you like hiking, and with three megalithic tombs and a 12th century Abbey all within walking distance this area is also great for history and heritage enthusiasts.

Ideally we would like two people to come together: one who would help Johnny outside and one who can take over the housework while Joanne gets her new business up and running.

The outside worker will be helping Johnny, a carpenter by trade, with garden maintanence, keeping the firewood stocked, painting the ho... more inside

We are a busy and dynamic bunch of people who are passionate about plants and the environment, we love to travel and enjoy meeting new people from around the world. We are the second generation running a natural plant nursery that was established by family back in 1986. We are based about 15 minutes drive from Bantry, a busy market town in rural West Cork. We were originally a sawmill supplying local timber but we moved from that to supplying plants and we are now a busy mail order nursery, however the unusual wooden buildings are a reminder of the saw mill days! We are passionate about plants and we supply a very wide range, we focus on supplying native, usefull and fruitful plants and have a very unique and beautiful nursery.
We have lots of nursery development on the go, stone wall building, tree work, building paths as well as general nursery work, weeding, watering, potting etc. We also have a wooden cabin that needs to be fixed up so carpentry skills would be great for that, ... more inside

We are looking for an enthusiastic social media whizz to come stay with us and do about 2 days/20 hours per week in return.

We are a growing bamboo business in Ireland. Started up 3 years ago we are the sole suppliers of bamboo in Ireland. What we do is quite unique: from general sales to wholesale to manufacturing of bamboo products. Our team here is quite small and we would like to have an intern that can work in a very close knit business.

Anyone interested in our offer should get to know our business, find out what we do via our website, facebook, twitter and wordpress blog. Naturally we require a very high standard of English.

We offer accommodation and transport to and from our premises on working days. We are not adverse to the intern taking up additional part-time work on days off.

We are a family of 4. Kyran, Trish, Kyra and Kate.
Kyra and Kate are twin girls aged 4. They are great fun.
Kyran is the father and he works away from home Monday to Thursday.
Trish is the mother and works at home at art doing mostly oil painting.
We are an active family and like outdoor activities. We like walking, boating, swimming, meeting friends, and playing with the children.
We have a piano which the father plays a little and the twins love trying to play!
We like to have fun and be happy.

I think you would like Galway very much. It is a fun city with lots of things to do. It is always alive with university students and tourists.
It is situated on the west side of Ireland in Galway bay and has lovely views across the ocean to the limestone region called the Burren.
It is a medieval city and has a network of waterways running through it. The main one is the river Corrib which runs out of lake Corrib and enters the sea in Galway city.
There are lots of theatres, 3 ... more inside

We have a large productive garden, we are largely self sufficient in organic vegetables and fruit, and the garden is also full of flowers.
We keep a flock of rare traditional breed poultry from which we have a steady supply of organic free range eggs
We are a mile and a half from a bustling market town, Skibbereen, where there is plenty of entertainment for those who want it. And it also has a reasonably good bus service.
We are also not far from the spectacular West Cork coastline.

Helpers must be reasonably strong and not afraid to get their hands dirty. We mostly need help in the garden, weeding and clearing and so on but there are sometimes other jobs too such as wood chopping, hedging and strimming and so on. Some gardening experience is essential, as is a love of the outdoors, and a certain amount of hardiness. This is Ireland and the climate is unpredictable!
Helpers must be dog lovers as we have two lively playful dogs who are part of the family, and it would be bet... more inside

I am living in Galway city with my three year old daughter. We are living in a two bedroomed house and are looking for someone (female) to come and stay with us in exchange for some childminding. We live 15 minutes walk to the city centre, in a quiet estate. We live quite alternatively, are vegetarian, and sometimes eating raw food. I study antenatal teaching and need to have a childminder so I can spend time studying. My daughter is sociable but is not used to spending much time away from me so we need someone who is understanding and compassionate. The childminder would need a good level of English and be adventurous and imaginative!
The childminding is exchanged for accommodation and shared food costs or cooking if this suits.

We are a family of three and we live in the beautiful countryside of east-Clare, relatively close to Limerick city, Ennis and Killaloe but quite remote.

We need help with our extensive garden, including woodland, vegetable garden and two poly tunnels. Our chicken house and run needs updating and small building work is needed. We have two dogs, two cats, ducks, geese and chickens.

We offer a private bedroom (sharing the family bathroom) and full bed and board. We are non-smokers and the house is smoke-free. Although we are not vegetarians I am willing to provide for a vegetarian diet. Also we have experience with gluten-free diet requirements.
