I am a writer that lives on a small 40acre (16 hectares) bush block near Cranbrook by myself with my two cats. I would be happy to have people assist with my property and in return I could provide basic accommodation which right now is having your own room in the house.

My house is a small stone cottage on the banks of the Gordon River on the Albany Highway. There is a beautiful solitude about the place and plenty of opportunity to bush walk and enjoy the cool clime especially with all the many beautiful and even rare wildflowers that grow on the property.

Nearby are the wonderful Stirling Ranges and the Porongorups--both significant Aboriginal sites
as well as Bluff Knoll aka Bulah Meyal (many eyes) not only the tallest point in WA and well worth the 4 hour walk to the top but also a very important Aboriginal site. All these places I am happy to drive my guests to.

Around this area in Cranbrook, Frankland and Mt Barker are many vineyards which offers work from February to... more inside

This is a working sheep, cattle and goat station situated 120km south of Carnarvon on the Coral Coast of Western Australia.

We muster the animals via the use of 2 wheel motorbikes and a fixed wing aircraft and in Summer we use special trap systems around waters.

We have also recently opened a nature based camp ground and natural artesian spa baths on the station.

Things are pretty busy, so any help is always appreciated. Depending on your skill base there is mustering, stockwork, maintenance and upkeep of the park facilities, the jobs are varied changing from station to tourist work if you have an adventurous spirit.
We have self contained accommodation with bedrooms, tv room, laundry, bathroom and kitchen. The cottage is old but has been recently refurbished and is clean and comfortable.
Our property is on the coast only 25kms from Glastone jetty, but we are also an easy drive to great snorkeling and surfing beaches, monkey mia, Quobba blowholes and the Kennedy Ranges.
