MOST URGENTLY IN NEED OF HELP FOR OCTOBER 2014

Our property's name means 'tranquility'/'calm’. Everyone who has stayed here has said the property is well named. It would also have been well named if we had simply called it 'beautiful'. My wife, Yael, and I are not farmers. We allow a farmer to use two thirds of our property to graze sheep, but he does this only some of each year.
I am a writer and philosopher - my wikipedia link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raimond_Gaita). Yael is a retired schoolteacher. I speak German reasonably.
We are located in the Gold Fields region of Central Victoria, 11km from Maldon, a lovingly preserved heritage village (http://www.visitmelbourne.com/Regions/Goldfields.aspx). The landscape of the area is beautifully captured in a film of my book, Romulus, My Father, which stars Eric Bana and Franka Potente (http://www.romulusmyfather.com.au/about.html).

We would like a couple to live with Yael and I, in the house, for ten days or two weeks, eac... more inside

We are needing an Au Pair/Nanny while we are busy with work. Our 2 boys ages 13 and 14 are very independent but they are not old enough to be left at home alone, they also need driving to after school activities.
We have had overseas people for several years now and they have become part of our family.
We enjoy all sports, hiking, camping and meeting people from other cultures.
The chores are, be up in the morning and organise the boys for school and greet them out the door for the school bus. Help boys with school homework if they need help, have an activity organised if they have nothing else to do. You must organise the family evening meal "so you must be able to cook" our 2 boys enjoy cooking too as long as an adult is in the house to observe. Light house duties are to be done, just so the house is kept tidy and washing done (a few hours worth a week)
Free time is between school hours and 3 days every 2nd weekend off, the other weekend you will be in charge of the boys.

Hello traveller's! My name is Georgia and I am a single 30 yo female. I live in suburbia approx 40 minutes drive from Melbourne city and 10 minutes walk from the train station. I'm looking for someone to help with my gardening and some odd jobs around the house like Window cleaning and painting. MUST LOVE DOGS! I have 2 medium sized dogs that live inside and outside. I would love help to take my dogs on a daily walk as I am an emergency nurse who works shift work and sometimes the dogs miss out. Internet is available at the house. Meals are to be prepared by yourself as I am often at work and you can help yourself from the cupboard. If you don't like what's in the cupboard then you buy your own. Any questions please feel free to contact me! Cheers.

We live on a small family farm close to Mount Franklin and a few kilometres from Daylesford and many of the naturally effervescent mineral springs in the area. We primarily farm sheep and hay, but also have a variety of fruit trees and a veggie garden. We are looking for helpers any time of year who could help out in the garden, or with other work on the farm that would be of interest to you. Our busiest time of year is lambing season in July and shearing in November. Spring and summer are also busy seasons for sowing and harvesting vegetables. The farm has a relaxed atmosphere and you will most likely have your own room in the farm house.

Small bush property ~ 30 kms outside Melbourne.
6 kms from the train line to Melbourne
I live in an old cottage and the area is very tranquil. The place is visited by kangaroos, wallabies and other native wildlife.

I live a very simple life – as much as possible in harmony with the environment and in a way that does not harm animals. I also can teach you much about Aboriginal issues.

There are a number of great walking tracks around the place and some interesting places to visit. I have bike(s) available for woofers to use.

I prepare good healthy meat-free meals. My place is a smoke-free and meat-free property. This means no-smokers! No fussy eaters please!

There is a computer available for some e-mailing.

If you want to improve your English, I can help, and I am happy to set some time every aside day for an English lesson.

The work is almost all outside. I have a small vege-garden which needs a lot of work and a lot of native veg around the house. I can... more inside
