Homeschooling children & life coaching parents looking for like minded helpers

We are a healthy and alternative family of four. We don't have a TV and we love spending time in nature (hiking, canoeing, sailing, cycling, surfing...). Maira is a social worker, life coach and parenting instructor from Barcelona. Geoffrey is an English/Australian business coach. We have two children, a girl and a boy, who are bilingual in English and Catalan: Nina is 10 and Aron is 9.

We live in a quiet location, in a beautiful house with a pool just outside the vibrant village of Uki, under the shadow of Mount Warning. We are an hour north of the famous Byron Bay and an hour south of the Gold Coast, in the crater of an extinct volcano, surrounded by lush sub-tropical national parks and interesting places to visit.

We use a parenting style based on Aware Parenting, an approach that requires a lot of emotional maturity. And this year we have decided to home school our children, which feels lik... more inside

Hi there,

We are a family of five (2 boys and a girl) living in beautiful Casuarina by the sea. The beach, cafes, restaurants and shops are all close by in this small family community. Gold Coast airport is only 15 minutes drive North and Byron Bay is only 25 minutes south. My husband grew up in this area and I was born in Brazil and have been living in Australia for ten years. Our kids are 3 and 1 (the two little ones are twins). We’re a happy welcoming family and we have a couple of spare bedrooms so there’s plenty of room though you’ll have to share the main bathroom with the kids. We’re open to short stays up to a couple of months and provide food and accommodation in return for helping out with the kids and keeping the house tidy. If you’re great with little kids and enjoy the quiet beachside lifestyle then please get in touch.

Hi all, unfortunately my good friend Bob passed away last year, so we are not in a position to offer homestay. I take the opportunity to thank all the wonderful people who helped make Bob's last couple of years so enjoyable, particularly Ash, Kristen and Katie.

Our beautiful little farm located in the magical rainforest area of Bellingen ( 25min car distance) is a place to recover, connect to nature and live with the rhythms of the sun and the seasons.
We have three goats, two cows and six chucks as well as a rooster and some gold fish:-), a citrus plantage with mainly orange trees, a little vegetable garden and lots of other fruit trees all around the property. There is always something to harvest when wondering around:-)

Jobs will depend on what season it is and what grows of course. However, there is always plenty of weeding, mulching, pruning trees, harvesting fruit and caring for the animals to do ( milking goats!).
There is also plenty to do in and around the house in terms of wood work and renovation chores. That will depend on your own skills and interest.
We have a beautiful granny flat for you to stay in with your own kitchen (if you want to) as well as a little guest caravan. There is an outside bathtub and shower as well... more inside

Dave, Nadine and Tano (age 7) run a certified organic farm growing avocados, beetroot, rhubarb and other mixed fruit and vegetables for the local organic market. We are interested in developing a sustainable and interconnected self-sufficient community and would welcome long term helpers with this shared interest. Short term helpers are also welcome!

Work includes fruit and vege production, fencing and animal care and rainforest regeneration. Minor building projects and house maintenance work are also on the cards this year. The farm is 10 minutes to Alstonville which is situated between Lismore and Ballina, close to awesome rainforest and beaches.

We are a family with two young kids (9 and 6) running a farm that produces native mountain pepper in the beautiful southern tablelands of NSW. We have a 16 hectare property, about 20 km from Braidwood, which is 90% forested with towering gums, tree ferns, and remnant rainforest. Our property borders a national park on three sides and is a designated wildlife refuge. Wombats, wallabies, rare birds, and kangaroos all abound here.

From February to May we harvest and dry the native mountain pepper berries that that grow wild on our property. These berries, which were part of Aboriginal food and healing culture for centuries, are now highly sought after by chefs around the world. We are not certified organic, but the farm is 100% chemical free. This is totally wild harvesting. It is beautiful work.

We are also in the process of cultivating a plantation, which will include propagation of a thousand trees, and setting up a polytunnel.

We are seeking HelpX guests to help us harve... more inside
