I just graduated from college in May with a degree in psychology and am currently working a summer job in Alaska with an environmental company - it is based out of Anchorage, but I have been lucky to travel through the northern part of the state as well for the job. I'm leaving Alaska tomorrow (the 20th) and heading down to Hawaii for a bit to spend some time with my cousins who go to school down there. Then on Nov. 2nd I'm off to Sydney! I'm looking at a 6 month trip, but don't have any itinerary set in stone - I plan to stay longer in the places I love where I meet some good friends. Just want to see where life takes me!
I am a hard worker and quick learner. I don't mind getting a little dirty or sweating if that is what the job requires. Sports have been a huge part of my life since I was young (ice hockey was my main sport, but I love them all), so I am physically fit and like to lead an active life style. I was born and raised in Alaska, and absolutely love the outdoors - especially camping, hiking, and fishing.
I have been lucky to travel around a lot of the US and Canada for hockey tournaments and camps, but have not had much travel outside of North America, so to say the least, I'm excited to begin in November!! I have always been drawn to the sun and water. Surfing and sailing are high on my list of activities to learn - I'm always up for a challenge.
In terms of working, I'm pretty flexible and would be willing to help out wherever the help is needed most. I would say I'm a really easy going person who gets along well with others. I'm very down to earth - looking to share a good time with good people, and enjoy life.
